Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley for AEW World Title Announced for AEW Full Gear 2024
Wednesday’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite show in Cleveland, Ohio featured one new match announced for the card of AEW Full Gear 2024, which takes place on November 23rd at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
This new match announced was an AEW World Championship match of Orange Cassidy vs. Jon Moxley (c).
During the show, Cassidy demanded for the intro video recapping Moxley’s group actions last week to be stopped and came out to the ring. Cassidy stated how he doesn’t do stuff like this and doesn’t go out here and talk for ten minutes about being a leader because he isn’t a leader. Cassidy talked about his friend Chuck Taylor getting his neck crushed by Moxley’s group and how he was surrounding by a lot of young stars who are the future of AEW but they have no idea of the danger they are in. Cassidy stated that they have no idea how dangerous Moxley is so he knew then and there what is needed to be done. Cassidy stated that if Moxley has his way, there is no future of AEW and Mox doesn’t need AEW but he does. After some more words, Cassidy stated that he knows what he needs to do and that is to cut the head off the snake and he will do it alone. Cassidy then issued a challenge to Moxley for his AEW World title and claimed he will take the symbol of this company out of Moxley’s bag and put it in his backpack. Cassidy also talked about how he is waiting for Moxley’s response and he won’t be hard to find.

Mark Davis Makes Surprise Return at Wednesday’s AEW Dynamite Show
Wednesday’s AEW Fright Night Dynamite show also featured Mark Davis making his surprise return from injury.
During the show, the Don Callis Family’s Don Callis & Kyle Fletcher came out to the stage. Fletcher stated that he lived up to what he promised to do and came here to call out Will Ospreay. Fletcher then introduced Ospreay leading to Ospreay’s music playing but him not showing up in the end. This led to Aussie Open’s music playing to interrupt and Davis coming out instead making his surprise return. Fletcher stated that he wasn’t expecting to see Davis but its nice to see him and went in for a hug. This led to Davis rejecting the hug offer and responded running down Fletcher for calling someone out that he knows he beat up and isn’t here.
Fletcher responded stating that while Mark was away, he opened his eyes to who Ospreay really is and claimed Ospreay forgot who Davis is but he never did. Fletcher stated that he know this day would come and he made sure there was a spot for him in the Family. Davis responded talking about how they had an Empire before walking away. Davis then proceeded to leave only to be stopped by Fletcher who told him that he is not afraid to cut the past loose.
