PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the vignette that aired on SmackDown was meant to be for the Motor City Machine Guns’ upcoming official debut in WWE.
Johnson reported that WWE officials originally had plans for MCMG’s to debut in their NXT brand and have a short stint there before moving onto the main roster. Johnson also reported that neither Shelley nor Sabin were in Chicago this past Tuesday for NXT’s premiere show on The CW as had been expected.
Johnson reported that the MCMG will instead be heading to WWE’s SmackDown brand.
