Samantha Irvin’s fiance Ricochet announced earlier today on Twitter that the rumors of Irvin heading to AEW soon following her departure from WWE are not true.

As noted before, WWE RAW brand ring announcer Samantha Irvin announced earlier today that she has left WWE.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE legend Lilian Garcia was seen in attendance backstage ahead of tonight’s WWE RAW show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Johnson speculated that Garcia might be replacing Irvin as the ring announcer for at least tonight’s RAW show.
In regards to the potential interest from AEW, Fightful Select reported that their sources within WWE and AEW stated that they would be “shocked” if AEW did not make an attempt to hire Irvin. It was reported that nothing has been confirmed to be in the works between the two sides as of yet.
Irvin’s fiance Ricochet currently works in AEW and had joined the company this past August following his departure from WWE this past July.
Those spoken to within WWE reportedly stated that they had expected Irvin to leave after Ricochet did considering the “ease of schedule on their family.”
It was reported that the reason for Irvin’s decision to leave WWE nor the status of her contract with the company prior to her departure is currently not known.
It was also reported that everyone spoken to within WWE had high praise for Irvin, both before and after her departure announcement, with one source describing her as a “presence that made the work day better.”
