As noted before, WWE will be reviving their Saturday Night Main Event series with a new show to take place on December 14th at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, New York. WWE’s current plans for their upcoming special are believed to involve WWE Hall of Famer Jesse “The Body” Ventura to be involved in some form for nostalgia reasons.
In regards to current match plans, Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that WWE officials currently have plans for two matches for the upcoming special.
Meltzer reported that these two matches are Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens and WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther vs. Damian Priest. These matches reportedly are currently slated for the special but nothing has been etched in stone in regards to finalized plans.
