Daniel Garcia Officially Declares for AEW Continental Classic 2024 Tournament

Following Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2024 event at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, AEW held a post-show media scrum featuring new TNT Champion Daniel Garcia as one of the guests.

One of the topics discussed included Garcia officially declaring himself for this year’s AEW Continental Classic tournament.

This year’s tournament officially starts at this week’s AEW Dynamite show on November 27th in Chicago, Illinois.

Garcia joins AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada as those who have been officially announced for this year’s tournament.

Willow Nightingale Makes Surprise Return from Concussion Injury at Full Gear 2024

Saturday’s AEW Full Gear 2024 event featured Willow Nightingale making her surprise return from injury.

During the AEW World Championship match between Orange Cassidy and Jon Moxley, the Death Riders interfered multiple times resulting in The Conglomeration running out to help even up the odds and deal with Moxley’s group. This led to Marina Shafir getting in the ring and attempted to attack Cassidy with Moxley’s AEW World title briefcase resulting in Nightingale making her surprise return and brawled with Shafir.

This was Nightingale’s first wrestling appearance since this past October due to a concussion injury.

Ricky Starks AEW Absence Update – Starks Reportedly was Backstage at AEW Full Gear 2024

As noted before, Ricky Starks has been out of action for AEW since this past March due to a head-injury scare incident and AEW officials not currently having any plans for his return. Starks made a surprise appearance for Game Changer Wrestling at their Dream On event on Saturday in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that Starks was in attendance backstage at AEW’s Full Gear 2024 event in Newark. Johnson reported that this was the first time Starks has been at an AEW event backstage in some time.

Those spoken to reportedly stated that Starks was warmly greeted by others backstage during his visit.

Johnson reported that Stark’s booking with GCW would have been something that Starks had received approval by AEW officials.

Johnson also reported that it is currently not known when or if Starks will be making his return to AEW television.
