Sean Ross Sapp reported that his sources stated that an official announcement for a venue change is currently expected to be made “sooner than later.”
No other details were given regarding the reason for the planned change of venue.
WrestleTix reported that AEW had made significant changes to their seating map for the event over the past week with many seats removed and numerous sections becoming untrackable.

It was also reported that initial VIP ticket sales for the event were encouraging but afterwards, much of the original ticket map was still available in regards to large quantities of available tickets.
AEW Grand Slam Australia is currently scheduled to take place on February 15, 2025 at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane, Australia.
