NJPW Announces Konosuke Takeshita vs. Shingo Takagi for NEVER Openweight Title at Wrestle Kingdom 19

New Japan Pro Wrestling announced one new match for the card of their Wrestle Kingdom 19 event, which takes place on January 4, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

This new match announced was a NEVER Openweight Championship match of Konosuke Takeshita vs. Shingo Takagi (c). It was also announced that should Takeshita remain as AEW International Champion by Wrestle Kingdom 19, then this match will be a double title match.

NJPW Announces Two New Matches for NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty

NJPW also announced two new matches for the card of their co-promoted NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event, which takes place on January 5, 2025 at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.

The first new match announced was a singles match of Yota Tsuji vs. Jack Perry.

The second new match announced was a NEVER Openweight Championship match of Tomohiro Ishii vs. Winner of Konosuke Takeshita/Shingo Takagi (c). It was also announced that should Takeshita remain as AEW International Champion after Wrestle Kingdom 19 on January 4th, then this match will be a double title match.
