This past Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Salt Lake City, Utah featured Jade Cargill being seen laid out on top of car in the parking lot following an unseen attack by a mystery assailant. Cargill’s status for both her scheduled match in WWE’s Women’s United States Championship tournament and her spot on Rhea Ripley’s WarGames team was in serious doubt.
WWE provided a medical update on Saturday on Twitter stating that Cargill had suffered deep lumbar paraspinal muscle contusions, a bruised kidney, a sprained MCL in her right knee, a tibial plateau bone bruise of her right knee, and facial lacerations.

It was also announced that there is currently no timetable for Cargill’s return from her injuries.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Cargill had recently suffered a legitimate injury and her storyline injury angle was meant to be WWE’s way of writing out Cargill for the time being. It was reported that no other details regarding the nature nor severity of Cargill’s injury is currently known as of the time of their report.
