Former Major League Wrestling talent Lance Anoa’i was recently revealed to have attended a gathering with other WWE NXT talent at a charity event and was seen wearing a NXT shirt. This quickly led to online speculation that Anoa’i had recently signed an official contract with WWE.

Figthful Select reported that their sources within WWE confirmed that Anoa’i had signed an official contract with the company this past summer. Those spoken to reportedly also stated that Anoa’i is currently sidelined with an injury.
In regards to potential Bloodline storyline plans for Anoa’i, it was reported that WWE officials currently do not have any creative plans in place for Anoa’i for their NXT brand nor main roster. The reason reportedly is due to Anoa’i is currently not expected to be medically cleared for a while.
Anoa’i is a member of the legendary Anoa’i wrestling family and is the son of Samu and nephew of Manu (Afa Anoaʻi Jr.). Anoa’i is also cousins with The Bloodline’s Roman Reigns, The Usos, Solo Sikoa, and Jacob Fatu.
