As noted before, Juice Robinson suffered a foot-related injury, later feared to be a broken foot, at the November 27th tapings for AEW’s Collision show that aired on November 30th. Robinson’s injured was confirmed by AEW and was pulled and replaced with Komander for the remainder of this year’s Continental Classic tournament.
The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that his sources within AEW stated that Robinson had suffered a broken fibula injury in his left leg following the results of his X-rays.
Meltzer reported that Robinson had suffered the injury following a spot where he blocked a sunset flip by Will Ospreay during their Continental Classic tournament match. Meltzer also reported that while Robinson did not react like he had been hurt nor was the injury apparent on television, a still photo of the spot revealed that Robinson’s left foot had bent at a terrible looking angle.
While Robinson was able to continue the match and showed no visible signs of an injury, Meltzer reported that the only indication of Robinson suffering the injury took place later in the match when Ospreay attempted a hurricanrana and Robinson left leg gave out during the setup.
Meltzer also reported that Robinson’s X-ray had shown that he broke his fibula slightly above his foot and a timetable for his potential in-ring return is currently not known.
