As noted before, Matt Cardona was believed to have suffered an ankle injury during his match against Chris Jericho for the ROH World Championship at Ring of Honor’s Final Battle 2024 event earlier this month at the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Cardona confirmed earlier today on Twitter that he had suffered an ankle injury. Cardona also announced that he has pulled out of his scheduled booking for Game Changer Wrestling’s Take Kare event tonight in Seattle, Washington to heal up and rest for another week from his injury.
Sorry…I won’t be on this GCW show tonight in Seattle.

I messed up my ankle last weekend at ROH.
It’s not serious and I’m feeling much better…but I think it’s smart to let it rest for another week and start off 2025 HOT! https://t.co/pVXjjgRT7i
Cardona is currently scheduled to work for GCW at their The People vs. GCW event on January 19, 2025 at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York.
