New Japan Pro Wrestling reportedly has exited from AXS TV, according to the Wrestling Observer Radio.
Dave Meltzer reported that his sources stated that NJPW’s television contract with the network for their New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV series recently expired.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that NJPW officials made the decision to part ways with AXS TV after opting to not extend their deal with the network.
NJPW officials reportedly wants to explore options for its programming on a more suitable network going forward.
Prior to its departure, NJPW had been airing weekly episodes of their television series on AXS TV since March of 2022 and previously aired on the network from 2015 to 2019.
