As noted before, WWE is currently planning to hold another Saturday Night’s Main Event show in January of 2025 following this month’s revival show. The date of this show is currently expected to take place on January 25, 2025, which is the week before next year’s Royal Rumble event.
Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources within WWE confirmed WrestleVotes’ report about the date of this new show being currently scheduled for January 25, 2025.
In regards to the reason for why the show will be taking place the week before Royal Rumble 2025, Meltzer reported that the reason for this date was due to that being a decision made by NBC and not WWE officials. Meltzer reported that NBC officials are the ones who get to determine the dates for their Saturday Night’s Main Event shows. Meltzer reported that when NBC officials give a date for a show, that is the date WWE must run it.
