WWE held a new set of television tapings on Friday at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
The first taping was for that night’s live SmackDown show while the second taping was for next week’s SmackDown show on December 20th.
The reason for the double tapings was due to WWE giving their staff and talent the extra night off ahead of the Christmas and Holiday week live events tour.
