The Acclaimed Breaks Up on Saturday’s AEW Collision Show

Saturday’s taped AEW Collision Maximum Carnage show also featured The Acclaimed officially breaking up as a team.

During the show, The Acclaimed’s Max Caster was shown in the ring and called for his tag partner Anthony Bowens to come out since he had something to say over the issues between the two has gone on long enough.

This led to Bowens coming out to the ring and Caster told Bowens that they are a great team and great friends but the biggest issue is that Bowens won’t admit Caster is the best wrestler alive. Bowens responded telling Caster that he has been lying all these years and the truth is that Caster is a “selfish, arrogant, cocky piece of shit.”

Caster responded saying that is not true and grabbed an official trademark paper that said he was the best wrestler alive. This led to some angry words in return by Bowens and before anything else could happen, The Acclaimed’s music played resulting in “Daddy Ass” Billy Gunn coming out to the ring. Gunn proceeded to berate the two over their issues leading to Caster responding back claiming that it was Gunn’s fault. Caster stated that he never liked “Daddy Ass” and Billy road their coattails as Trios champs. Caster then stated that every team Gunn has been a part of has broken up and gave an ultimatum to Bowens to choose either him or “washed up Billy Gunn.”

Bowens teased doing the Acclaimed’s hand scissors with Caster only to flip him off instead. This led to an upset Caster responding back telling Bowens that they are done as a team and gave a series of insults as he walked out of the ring and towards the stage. Bowens responded back telling Gunn “Billy, one last time. Cincinnati, throw those scissors in the air!” leading to the two scissored and hugged as Caster looked on from the stage.
