Sunday’s The People vs. GCW event for Game Changer Wrestling at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York featured Allie Katch suffering a serious foot-related injury.
During the #1 Contender match for the GCW World Championship between Katch and EFFY, Katch hit a dive to the outside to EFFY but landed awkwardly on her leg. This led to the referee checking on Katch and after a lengthy delay, medics came out to tend to Katch and the match was called off.

As Katch was being attended to by medics and GCW officials, GCW World Champion Mance Warner ran out and attacked EFFY to buy some time for the medics and entertain the crowd.
Following the match, GCW owner Brett Lauderdale confirmed that Katch had suffered a legitimate injury and this was not a storyline one.
No storyline. Real injury. Sending positive vibes to Allison. #ThePeopleVsGCW

GCW’s show ended up being delayed for a long while due to GCW needing to wait for the medics and New York Commissioner to return to the venue after leaving with Katch to the hospital.
