Sunday’s NJPW x AEW Wrestle Dynasty event at the Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan featured Konosuke Takeshita defeating Tomohiro Ishii to retain his AEW International and NEVER Openweight Championships. Takeshita won the NEVER Openweight title at Saturday’s NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 19 event after defeating then champion Shingo Takagi.
Following his match against Ishii, Takeshita revealed during his post-match backstage press conference that he recently signed a contract with NJPW to go along with his current deals with AEW and DDT Pro Wrestling.
“I have good news for Japanese wrestling fans. I am currently affiliated with two organizations, DDT and AEW, but from now on I will also be affiliated with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, making me a “three-organization affiliation.”
