As noted before, Hiroshi Tanahashi’s final match in the United States for his wrestling career will be taking place at New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Windy City Riot 2025 event on April 11th in Chicago, Illinois.
Saturday’s Battle in the Valley 2025 event at the San Jose Civic in San Jose, California featured Konosuke Takeshita defeating KUSHIDA to retain the NEVER Openweight Championship.
Following the match, Takeshita grabbed a microphone and issued an official challenge to Tanahashi to be the opponent for Tanahashi’s final wrestling match in the United States. Takeshita stated that this will be the end of “The Ace” and he will show you who is “The Alpha.”
