As noted before, Maria Kanellis has been out of action for AEW and Ring of Honor since this past Summer due to a mass was discovered on her adrenal gland this past July and underwent surgery this past October for retroperitoneoscopic adrenalectomy. Kanellis’ contract with AEW was set to expire at the end of this January following her signing a short-term extension.
Kanellis provided an update on Twitter announcing in a recently deleted tweet that today is her final day with AEW and she will be leaving the company.
“This is my last day with AEW. Mike still works there. We have kids.”
In a follow-up tweet, Kanellis posted another version of her departure tweet that only stated “This is my last day with AEW.”
In response to a fan who asked about the chance of her staying in AEW with a new contract, Kanellis responded back stating “No thank you.”
Prior to her departure, Kanellia had been signed with AEW since October of 2022 and had been working in AEW and Ring of Honor.
