Wrestling legend and former AEW wrestler Sting officially retired from his in-ring wrestling career at AEW’s Revolution 2024 event this past March. Sting has continued to make appearances for wrestling conventions and made a special surprise appearance at AEW’s All In 2024 event since his in-ring retirement.
Sting provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that 2025 will be his last year appearing in his full Sting gear for convention appearances. Sting also stated that he will still make appearances for conventions afterwards but will not be dressed up in his full wrestling gear for it.
“I have enjoyed meeting fans at events around the world.
As much as I have loved interacting with you all in the traditional Stinger war paint, I’ve decided that 2025 will be my last year appearing in full gear.
I guess it’s 2025 or never. Wow. Tough to speak that out.”

While Sting’s in-ring career with AEW officially ended, Sting has been signed to a non-wrestling Legends-like contract with the company since this past October
