As noted before, RAW brand talent Drew McIntyre made a surprise appearance on the January 3rd WWE SmackDown show teasing him joining the brand as part of WWE’s transfer window period at the time. McIntyre was expected to officially move over to the SmackDown brand following this past Saturday’s Royal Rumble 2025 event as part of WWE’s current plans for him and Damian Priest.

Aldis also announced one new match for the card of tonight’s show at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee.
This new match announced was a Men’s Elimination Chamber Qualifier Triple Threat match of Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight vs. McIntyre.
