Swerve Strickland Wins #1 Contender Match for AEW World Title Shot & Prince Nana Gets His Prized Robe Back

Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2025 event at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California featured Swerve Strickland defeating Ricochet in a #1 Contender’s match for the AEW World Championship.

During the match, Prince Nana left to the back after getting into an incident with Strickland at ringside after Nana tried to calm down Strickland from potentially getting himself DQed and Strickland shoving him down not realizing who it was at first. This led to a distracted Strickland getting attacked by Ricochet as an upset Nana bailed on Swerve and left to the back but not before flipping off Strickland.

Later in the match, Nana came back out and tried to get his robe back while Ricochet was not paying attention leading to Ricochet laying out Nana and putting the robe on. After some more action, Nana was laid out a second time after he interfered and pulled off the robe from Ricochet only to have Strickland shoved into him in the corner afterwards.

Following the match, Strickland grabbed the robe from the corner and presented it to Nana who was very happy to get his prized robe back and placed the robe on Strickland in celebration.

Toni Storm Retains AEW Women’s Title & Delivers “Hollywood Ending” for Her Feud with Mariah May

Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2025 event also featured “Timeless” Toni Storm defeating “The Glamour” Mariah May in a “Hollywood Ending” Falls Count Anywhere match to retain her AEW Women’s World Championship.

This match was a magnificent performance by both May and Storm and among the best, if not the best, ever women’s hardcore matches in AEW history.

Following the match, a bloodied Storm laid her head on the equally bloodied May and her bosom as the big screen displayed the words “The End” to deliver a “Hollywood Ending” to their feud that both May and Storm had promised to give to each other at Revolution 2025.

Kenny Omega Wins AEW International Title at Revolution 2025

Sunday’s AEW Revolution 2025 event also featured Kenny Omega defeating Konosuke Takeshita to become the new AEW International Champion.

This was Omega’s first ever AEW International title victory in his AEW career.

Christian Cage Cashes In But Fails to Win AEW World Title at AEW Revolution 2025

Sunday’s AEW Revoltuion 2025 event also featured Christian Cage officially cashing in his title shot contract for the AEW World Championship but failing to win the title.

During the AEW World title match between Cope and Moxley, Cope hit a series of spears to Moxley and went for a near fall that was broken up by a mystery hooded person who yanked the referee out of the ring. This led to the referee yelling at the mystery person who took off his hoodie revealing himself to be Cage. Cage then struck Cope in the head with his metal contract folder and signed the contract to officially make the match as a Three-way match for the title.

Cage then went into the ring and hit a spear for a near fall followed by a Killswitch for another near fall that was broken up by Moxley who locked in a Bulldog Choke. This led to Cage reaching his hand out to try to pin a knocked out Copeland for a near fall that was broken up by Moxley who kept the hold locked in until Cage passed out and the referee called for the bell.
