As noted before, Saraya signed a contract extension with AEW this past September that was later revealed to be for an additional one-year in length. Saraya has been absent from AEW television since this past October due to her currently being on a break for outside television projects.
Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown on SI held a recent interview with Saraya. One of the topics discussed included Saraya’s thoughts about her current absence from AEW and the future of her wrestling career.
“I’m letting people beat me, left, right and center. I was on a losing streak, but I just wanted people to get their rub. I want to uplift everybody. I’m not gonna be in wrestling forever. I’m coming to the end of it and it’s very soon. And I don’t wanna go out being like, I need to be on top.”
It is currently not known when Saraya will be making her return to AEW nor a potential retirement date for her wrestling career.
