Last Week’s Roadblock 2025 Show Recap

We start off with a look at some of the highlights from Roadblock and NXT’s time in New York.

NXT Women’s and NXT Women’s North American Champion Stephanie Vaquer was seen walking in the NXT parking lot. Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe were also seen walking into the venue ahead of their Underground match tonight.

WWE Women’s United States Championship
Sol Ruca vs. Chelsea Green (c)

They lock up and Gren with a wrist lock.  Sol with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Green with a head scissors.  Sol with a handstand and she escapes.  Sol with an arm bar.  Sol iwth a shoulder tackle.  Sol lands on her feet on a hip toss attempt and Sol with a leaping X Factor for a near fall.  Green goes for a monkey flip and Sol lands on her feet.  Sol with a spinning face plant and she surfs on Green’s back.   Sol with a thrust kick and Green sends her to the apron.  Sol with a split to avoid Green and Sol with a leg sweep.  Piper tries to stop Sol on the apron and Green with a leg sweep.  The referee warns everyone outside the ring.

Green starts to work on the ankle and he wraps it in the ropes.  Green with a dragon screw and she gets a near fall.  Green kicks Sol in the knee and leg.  Green puts Sol’s leg in the ropes and stands on it.  Green with an atomic drop to the knee and Green gets a near fall.  Green kicks Sol in the leg and hits another dragon screw.  Green with a KneeDT for a near fall.  Green with a forearm to the back and she goes for another atomic drop to the knee but Sol counters with a sunset lip for a near fall.  Green with a single leg crab.  Green with kicks to the hamstring.  Sol kicks Green away and misses a splash in the corner.  Green continues to work on the knee.  Sol kicks Green away.  Sol with a missile drop kick.

Green with a punch and Sol with a forearm of her own.  They go back and forth.  Sol with a kick and punches.  Sol with a kick and elbow followed by chops.  Sol with a flying shoulder tackle but her leg gives out on a springboard move.  Green with punches to the leg and she gets a near fall.  Sol with a springboard shoulder tackle but she does not get the height she normally does.  Sol with a shoulder into the corner and she cannot hold Green up.  Green with Rough Ryder for a near fall.  Green goes up top and Sol with a kick to stop her.  Sol slams Green to the mat.  Sol goes to the turnbuckles and she hits a cartwheel into a DDT but Alba puts Green’s foot on the ropes.

Zaria spears Alba but Piper with a shoulder tackle to Zaria.  Sol with a moonsault off the ring post onto Piper.  Sol gets bck in the ring and Gree hits a Codebreaker and she tries for UnprettiHER but Gren gets a near fall.  Green hits Sol in the ropes when she goes for Sol Snatcher.  Green with UnprettiHER for the three count.

Winner: Chelsea Green via Pinfall.

Backstage: Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, Lexis King

Trick Williams is in LOCKER ROOM and Je’Von Evans shows up and he says he got the biggest win of his career but he got jumped.  Now he knows what Trick was saying.  Je’Von says no one is safe.  

Trick says there is no WE.  He says he is coming after Oba for his title.  He says that Evans will never be him and he will never be champ.

Lexis King shows up and says that Trick has a point.  You probably won’t be a champion.  He tells Evans that he should be drinking through a straw.

Evans punches King.

We are back and Channing talks about their strategy for tonight and Tony shows up.

Lorenzo says that Tony should stay in the back and prepare for his rematch.  

Tony looks shocked but he says that is the way to think.

He asks Rizzo and Luca if they are good with it and they are.

In-Ring: Stephanie Vaquer, Jordynne Grace, Jaida Parker

Stephanie Vaquer makes her way to the ring.

She says that this is difficult for her because English is not her first language, but wrestling is her first language and these titles prove it.  He could have gone to any promotion or brand, but she chose NXT to make history and be on top of the best women’s division.  Last week she proved, against one of the best, why she is La Primera.  This makes her the best of the best.  Now she is waiting for her first opponent to step into this ring and look her in the eyes . . . 

Jordynne Grace’s music plays.

She congratulates Stephanie and she says that Stephanie is a trailblazer.  She isn’t the only one to accomplish something last week.  She beat Roxanne Perez, a person who elevated one of those titles.

Jaida Parker with a running shoulder tackle and a running hip to Jordynne.

Parker says it don’t work like that.  You aren’t first in line because the line starts behind her.   She says she is not waiting to Stand and Deliver to make her point.  She congratulates Stephanie and she says she is proud of her.  She tells Stephanie to do herself a favor.  Enjoy your pictues and personal appearances.  Maximize being a double champion because this ain’t gonna last too much longer.  Whoever comes out here to look you in the eyes is your next opponent and Parker says she is looking in your eyes and be carefull what you ask for.

Backstage: Hank & Tank

Hank and Tank are in LOCKER ROOM and they talk about what the Hardys talked about.

Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura vs. Hank & Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger)

Inamura goes after Tank and Briggs goes after Hank.  Inamura and Tank fight on the floor while Josh sends Hank into the turnbuckles.  Hank and Josh with flying clotheslines at the same time.  Josh hits a choke slam for a near fall.  Inamura tags in and Hank with a shoulder to Inamura and a boot to Josh.  Tank tags in and hits a double jump shoulder tackle on Inamura for a near fall.  Tank with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner.  Inamura with chops and punches and then he chops Hank.  Tank with chops and a punch.  Tank goes for a slam and Inamura escapes.  Inamura with a chop and forearm.  Inamura is sent to the floor by Tank and Josh runs across the ring and goes over the top rope when Tank drops down.  Hank and Tank go for springboard moves to the floor, but miss badly.  Inamura chops Tank and they go back into the ring.  Tank with punches.  Inamura with a punch and chop followed by a spinning slam.  Inamura sends Tank into the turnbuckles and Josh tags in.

Josh with a running boot in the corner and Inamura knocks Hank off the apron.  Inamura with a splash and Josh with a boot to Tank.  Josh gets a near fall.  Josh has somee words for Tank and he paintbrushes him.  Josh with a hard Irish whip to Tank.  Hank absorbs the Irish whip and Tank with a clothesline to Josh and both men are down.  Hank tags in and he connects with punches.  Hank with an Irish whip and splash.  Hank kicks Inamura off the apron and he hits a splash into the corner followed by a bulldog.  Hank with a running shoulder tackle to Inamura and he pushes Inamura into the ringside barrier.  Hank comes off the turnbuckles but misses.  Hank with a Bossman Slam and Tank tags in.  They hit a Malachi Crush and they hit a belly-to-back suplex and spinebuster combination.  Hank with a dive to stop Inamura.

Tank gets a near fall.  Hank and Tank go up top and Tank misses a splash and Inamura knocks Hank to the floor.  Inamura tags in and Josh with a clothesline and Inamura with a frog splash for the three count.

Winner: Josh Briggs & Yoshiki Inamura via Pinfall.

Backstage: Eddy Thorpe, Ridge Holland

Eddy Thorpe walks into LOCKER ROOM and he asks Ridge if he is going to leave too.

Eddy says they have something in common.  No matter what they do, no one respects them. 

Ridge says they bring in the shiny new toy after he has put in the years.

Eddy says Saints is a sports entertainer, just like Trick.

Ridge tells Eddy to take care of his sports entertainer, just like he will.

6-Person Mixed Tag Team Match
The D’Angelo Family (Channing Lorenzo, Luca Crusifino, & Adriana Rizzo) vs. The Culling (Brooks Jensen, Niko Vance, & Izzi Dame)

The D’Angelos attack on the floor and the women get in the ring to start the match.  Rizzo with a drop kick and knees in the corner.  Rizzo with punches on the turnbuckles.  Rizzo with a forearm off the turnbuckles and Channing tags in.  Brooks tags in and Channing punches him.  Channing kicks Brooks and he hits a short arm clothesline.  Niko tags in and he kicks Channing.  Niko snds Channing to the floor and then Rizzo gets in Niko’s face as Izzi hits a Codebreaker off the turnbuckles.  Rizzo with a Codebreaker of her own.  Channing tags in and he connects with a forearm t Niko and a forearm to Brooks on the apron.  Channing with a springboard forearm to force Niko to the floor.  Brooks is sent to the floor.  Channing with a forearm off the turnbuckles.  Channing with a flip dive to stop a sleeper by Niko.  Izzi with a swanton.

Rizzo with a suicide dive to Izzi.  Luca with a knee and then he tags Rizzo back in.  Rizzo sends izzi into the turnbuckles a few times.  Izzi runs Rizzo into the turnbuckles and she connects with an elbow.  She hits a running flapjack for a near fall.  Izzi slaps and kicks Rizzo.  Rizzo with a punch and Izzi with a forearm to the back.  Izzi with an Irish whip and Rizzo with punches to Izzi.  Izzi with a short arm clothesline.  Izzi sends Rizzo to the apron and Luca pulls her out of the way.  Rizzo with a punch and a slingshot Molly Go Round.  Brooks tags in and he connects with forearms to Channing’s lower back.  Channing with a shoulder tackle and a reverse atomic drop.  Channing punches Brooks and gets a near fall with a rollup.  Brooks with forearms to Channing and Niko tags in.

Niko kicks Luca and punches him.  Vance with shoulders in the corner.  Brooks tags in and Niko with a slam and Brooks with an elbow drop off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Niko tags in and he connects with a punch to Channing.  He gets Channing on his shoulders in a Gory Special.  Brooks hops Channing and Brooks tags back in and hits a bulldog off Niko’s back.  Brooks with a scissors kick for a near fall.  Izzi slaps Channing when Brooks distracts the referee.  Niko tags in and gets a near fall.  Niko gets another near fall.  Niko with a forearm and a sleeper.  Niko takes Channing back to the mat.  Channing with a jaw breaker to escape.

Niko stops Channing from making the tag but Channing kicks him away.  Brooks tags in and he goes up top and misses an elbow drop.  Rizzo comes in and hits Meteora off Brooks’ back.  Luca tags in and connects with clotheslines and uppercuts.  Luca with a double flying clothesline.  Luca with a boot to Niko and a flying boot to knock Brooks off the apron.  Luca with a slingshot shoulder tackle to Niko for a near fall.  Rizzo takes Izzi down.  Luca iwth a half and half on Vance and they hit Shatter Machine on Brooks.  

The Dion Lennox Collective attack Tony and send him through a table with the assisted power bomb.

Izzi kicks Rizzo and then Niko with a Burning Hammer on Luca for the three count.

Winner: The Culling via Pinfall.

Backstage: Ava, Stephanie Vaquer, Fallon Henley

We go to Ava with Stephanie Vaquer.  She says that Jaida faces Stephanie next week.

Fallon Henley wants to know when she gets her rematch and Ava says she keeps bringing it up.

Stephanie tells her to give her the rematch.

Fallon says she wants the match next week.

Ava says that Stephanie has a match next week already.

Fallon says that if she is La Primera she can face her after Jaida.

Ava tells Stephanie she has a big week next week.

We are back with a look at the attack on Tony D’Angelo.

Karmen Petrovic vs. Jacy Jayne

They lock up and Jacy backs Karmen into the corner.  Jacy kicks Karmen on the break and chokes her in the ropes.  Jacy misses a rolling elbow and Karmen with an elbow drop for a near fall.  Karmen with a waist lock.  Jacy with a back elbow.  Jacy pie faces Karmen and Karmen with a jumping side kick and a leg sweep.  Karmen with a drop kick to Jacy for a near fall.  Karmen with an arm bar.  Jacy with a forearm and Karmen with a kick to the midsection.  Jacy with an Irish whip and Jacy blocks a side kick.  Jacy with a series of kicks.  Jacy with a back senton and she waves at Adonis.  Jacy with a hard Irish whip and a cannonball for a near fall.  Jacy with a knee to the back and a rear chin lock.

Karmen with a forearm and Jacy fires back.  Jacy with a thrust kick and they both connect with clotheslines at the same time.  Adonis gets a chair from under the ring and he passes it to Karmen.  The referee stands there and does nothing with the chair.  Karmen grabs the chair and she gives it back to Adonis.  Karmen with forearms and chops.  Jacy with an Irish whip and Karmen floats over.  Jacy with a rolling elbow for the three count.

Winner: Jacy Jayne via Pinfall.

Backstage: Hank & Tank, Wes Lee, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe

Hank and Tank are in LOCKER ROOM.  Tank says they did everything the Hardys said.  They were EXTREME.  Hank asks if they did it wrong.  Tank says they came up short and he doesn’t know what to do.  Maybe they should talk to teams on the level they want to be on.

Wes Lee says if you ain’t got it you ain’t got it. 

Tyson and Tyriek say something before leaving the room.

Backstage: Jaida Parker, Karmen Petrovic, Ashante “Thee” Adonis

We are back and Jaida Parker says next week, her title match is set.  She says she is done standing around.  Jordynne Grace found out that no one gets in her way of getting what she wants.  She wants to walk into Vegas as the champion.  We are getting a new NXT Women’s Champion.

We saw Karmen Petrovic arguing with Ashante Thee Adonis in the background and Karmen storms off.

Ricky Saints vs. Ridge Holland

The referee has to hold both men back before he starts the match.

Saints with a side head lock and Ridge escapes.  Ridge with a forearm and one to the back.  Ridge with a head butt to the midsection followed by a European uppercut or two in the corner.  Ricky with punches and chops.  Ridge gets Ricky up for a slam but Ricky escapes and hits a drop kick.  Ridge has the referee check his tooth and that is used to sucker Ricky into a false sense of security.  Ridge with a forearm and slam for a near fall.  Ridge with a suplex and he gets a near fall.  Ricky with a sunset flip and he gets a near fall.  Ridge with a back elbow.  Ridge with cross faces.  Ricky with a flying shoulder tackle and an elbow in the corner.  Ridg with an Irish whip and he runs into a boot.  Ridge pulls Ricky off the turnbuckles and he hits a back breaker on the shoulder.  Ricky goes to the floor.

Ridge runs Ricky’s back into the apron.  Ridge with a short arm clothesline.  Ridge suplexes Ricky over the top rope to the floor and Ricky hits the apron.  Ridge kicks Ricky.  Ridge goes to the floor and hr runs Ricky into the ring post.  Ridge with a European uppercut and they return to the ring.  Ridge with a hard Irish whip.  Ridge with an elbow drop and he kicks Ricky in the back of the head.  Ricky with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Ridge with a clothesline.  Ridge with an Irish whip and a back breaker for a near fall.  Ricky with a punch and Ridge with a kick tot he shins.  Ridge with a back breaker for a near fall.  Ridge with a boot to the back.  

Ridge with an Irish whip that sends Ricky sternum first into the turnbuckles.  Ridge with a bear hug.  Ricky tries to get out of the bear hug using punches but Ridge turns it into a waist lock.  Ridge goes for a full nelson and Ricky escapes and gets a near fall.  Ridge runs Ricky into the turnbuckles to stop him.  Ridge with a forearm to the lower back.  Ridge with a second forearm to the lower back.  Ricky with a back elbow to stop a third attempt.  Ricky with punches and Ridge with a gut buster on the shoulder and Ridge gets a near fall.  Ridge with a waist lock.  Ridge sets for a back breaker on the shoulders.  Ricky uses the turnbuckles to flip out of the hold.  Ricky with a back body drop.  Ricky with punches and a forearm.  Ricky with a jumping enzuigiri.  Ricky with a swinging neck breaker and Ridge rolls to the floor.

Ricky follows Ridge to the floor and Ricky chops Ridge a few times.  Ricky with punches and he sends Ridge into the apron.  They return to the ring and Ridge runs Ricky into the turnbuckles and he punches Ricky.  Ridge puts Ricky on the turnbuckles.  Ricky punches Ridge and Ricky drops Ridge on the top turnbuckle. Ridge misses a splash into the corner.  Ricky with a kick and a tornado DDT.  Ricky with a Dominator for the three count.

Winner: Ricky Starks via Pinfall.

Parking Lot: Darkstate

The Dion Lnnox Collective are asked outside the building.  He says they heard that they had to earn their spot.  They didn’t wait for their spot.  Cutler James says they are four game changers.  When they strike, nobody is safe.  They made their statement?  They don’t get it yet . . . they re-enter the building.

Next Week’s Show Card Rundown

Next week, Stephanie Vaquer defends the NXT title against Jaida Parker at the start of the show.  Then she defends the North American Title against Fallon Henley in the main event.  Je’Von Evans faces Lexis King for the Heritage Cup.

Backstage: Ricky Saints, The Culling

Kelly Kincaid is with Ricky Saints.  

She congratulates Ricky on his win.  He says every wins counts and every moment matters.  He says he will deliver on every promise.  That means him bringing a new revolution . . . 

The Spears Crew shows up and tell Kelly to leave.

Niko says the revolution is happening before you guys.

Ricky points out that four people took out Tony.

Izzi says Saints has a lot of charisma but he doesn’t measure up.

Ricky says he always measures up in the right places

Spears snickers at Saints and he leaves.

NXT Underground Match
Eddy Thorpe vs. Trick Williams

They attempt kicks but they miss.  They lock up and Eddy with knees and a take down.  Eddy with a forearm and they roll to the floor.  Eddy with a punch and forearm as they approach the announce table.  Trick sends Eddy into the ring steps.  Trick sends Eddy back into the ring and Trick with an uppercut that sends Eddy into the arms fo the people at ringside.  Trick misses an H Bomb to the floor.  They get back in the ring and Trick misses a knee.  Eddy with a flying knee to send Trick to the floor.  The referee checks on Trick and Eddy with a back drop driver through the announce table.  They return to the ring.  Trick with punches and an uppercut.  Trick with a slam and a second one.  Eddy with a triangle on Trick.  Trick with a one arm power bomb but Eddy holds on to the triangle.  Trick with a one arm power bomb onto the people around the ring.

Trick misses a jumping side kick but he hits a jumping knee followed by punches and the referee stops the match.

Winner:  Trick Williams via Referee Stoppage.

After the match, Trick tells Eddy he better learn how to squabble.  He tells Oba to bring his punk ass out here and he tells him to bring out his title.

Oba Femi’s music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Obe gets in the ring but . . . 

The lights go out.

The lights come back on and the Dion Lennox Collective appear in the stands.

Je’Von Evans comes to the ring and Trick pushes him down.  Oba and Trick throw punches and Evans joins in.  

More wrestlers get in the ring to separate Trick and Oba.

The Collective get to the bottom of the bleachers while Trick and Oba exchange punches.  Evans with a cutter on Oba and Trick and Evans stand face to face.
