New Mystery Person Teaser Vignette Airs on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Olympic Arena in Barcelona, Spain featured the airing of the first of two new mystery vignettes.

During the show, a brief video aired teasing the upcoming debut of a new mystery wrestler in WWE.

This new mystery person is currently speculated to be former AEW talent Rey Fenix.

New Mystery “4” Teaser Vignette Airs on Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured the airing of the second of two new mystery vignettes.

During the show, a separate brief video aired featuring smoke flowing and the text of “4” being displayed on the screen.

This new mystery vignette is currently speculated to be for the return of Aleister Black to WWE. Black was previously known as Malakai Black during his time in AEW.

Axiom Makes Surprise Appearance on Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured NXT talent Axiom making a surprise appearance.

During the show, current WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther came out to the ring and proceeded to insult the Barcelona crowd saying that he has only one regret and that is he wishes they were in Madrid instead. Guther then turned his attention towards Jey Uso and proceeded to run him down with insults. Gunther then turned his attention again and offered another challenge saying he heard there was “a kid” from here in Spain. Gunther then proceeded to insult this mystery person before revealing him to be Axiom.

This led to a match between Gunther and Axiom, which was won by Gunther.

This was Axiom’s first match on WWE’s SmackDiwn brand since November of 2023.

Street Profits Win WWE Tag Titles on Friday’s SmackDown Show

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured the Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) defeating #DIY (Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano) to become the new WWE Tag Team Champions.

This was the Street Profits second WWE Tag Team Championship victory of their WWE careers, following their first in 2021.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured three new matches announced for the card of next week’s show on March 21st at the Unipol Arena in Bologna, Italy.

These matches were setup following promos, storyline angles, and match card graphics throughout the show.
