Travis Scott Makes Surprise Return and John Cena Wins WWE Title & Breaks All-Time World Title Record at WWE WrestleMania 41 Night 2 Show

Sunday’s WWE WrestleMania 41 Night 2 event at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada featured John Cena defeating Cody Rhodes to become the new Undisputed WWE Champion.

Near the end of the match, the referee got taken out by Cena leading to Rhodes hitting a Cross Rhodes for a near fall that was not counted due to the referee still being out. After the referee got back to his senses, Cena sent Rhodes into the exposed turnbuckle and hit an AA for a near fall.

This led to Travis Scott’s music playing to interrupt and he slowly walked down the ramp and made his way to the ring apron. Scott embraced Cena and the two attempted to attack Rhodes only for Rhodes to escape and chased Scott off the apron. Rhodes then hit a Cross Rhodes to Cena for a near fall that got broken up when Scott yanked the referee out of the ring causing the referee to get knocked out for a second time.

This led to Rhodes calling for Scott to get into the ring, which he did and the two confronted each other that ended with Rhodes laying out Scott for payback for what Scott did to him at Elimination Chamber 2025.

This gave Cena time to recover and grabbed the WWE title belt ready to use it as a weapon only for Rhodes to grab it resulting in a tug-of-war between the two over it. Rhodes managed to snatch the belt away and contemplated using it only for Rhodes to have second thoughts after Cena begged for mercy. This gave the opening for Cena to nail Rhodes with a low blow kick. Cena then followed it with striking Rhodes in the head with the title belt and covered him as the referee got back to his senses again and gave the three count to the mat to end the match.

As a result of his victory, Cena surpassed Ric Flair for most ever World Championship victories at 17 in his WWE career.
