WWE Reveals Format for Men’s & Women’s ID Championship Tournaments
WWE recently announced the format for their upcoming WWE Men’s and Women’s ID Championship tournaments, which starts on April 16th in Las Vegas, Nevada.
In regards to the Men’s ID title tournament, it was announced that this will be held under a double elimination style format. It was announced that the final four competitors remaining will then compete in a single elimination format to crown the inaugural champion.
In regards to the Women’s ID title tournament, it was announced that this will be held under a round robin style format.
The tournament to crown the first ever WWE ID Champions will have the following format:
-The Men’s Championship will see a double elimination Opening Round. When a competitor loses two matches, they are eliminated.
-The Opening Round will continue across various independent wrestling promotions until there are four remaining.
-The final four will compete in a single elimination format.
-The Women’s Championship will be determined in a round robin format, which will take place in various independent wrestling promotions.

Triple H Comments on WWE Returning to the UK for a PLE in 2026 Being a Sure Thing
The Daily Mail’s Alex McCarthy held a recent interview with WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque. One of the topics discussed included Levesque’s thoughts about WWE holding another PLE in the United Kingdom within the next year or so.

Backstage Update on Day 2 of WWE’s Talent Tryouts in United Kingdom
As noted before, WWE recently held new talent tryouts this past weekend in the United Kingdom. These tryouts took place from March 29th to March 30th as part of WWE’s recent European tour.
Fightful Select reported that following the first day’s sessions on Match 29th, additional indies talents had joined the tryouts. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Aigle Blanc, Stephanie Maze, and Pro Wrestling NOAH talent Jack Morris were among those who were invited and had a tryout.
Besides Man Like DeReiss, it was reported that Rhio was another talent who recieved heavy praise throughout the tryout. It was also reported that a video circulating online had captured WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque closely observing Rhio and fueling speculation about her potential future with WWE.
It was reported that Zozaya had wrapped up his time with NOAH ahead of schedule in order to take part in the tryout.
NXT talent reportedly were actively involved in the tryouts assisting where needed. Besides NXT talent, British indies and former NXT UK talent Sha Samuels was also present to help out.
It was reported that it is currently not known if any contracts were offered to the participants.
