AEW Double or Nothing 2025 Post-Show Media Scrum: Hangman Page on Men’s Owen Hart Cup Victory & Upcoming AEW World Title Match at All In Texas, ROH World Title Match Set for AEW vs. CMLL Show, Reason for Scorpio Sky’s Abscense, Other Companies Counter-Programming AEW

AEW CEO Tony Khan held a media scrum following Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event at the Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, Arizona.

Some of the notable highlights included:

  • During his portion of the media scrum, an emotional Hangman Adam Page stated that physically he feels like “s***” but he’s overwhelmed over how much winning this year’s Men’s Owen Hart Cup tournament means to him. Page talked in-character about how the past few years have been difficult for him.
  • On the topic of how he feels being a homegrown talent slated to headline AEW’s biggest stateside event in AEW history, Page stated “It’s a testament that this is successful. I’m not from somewhere else, I wasn’t established somewhere else, I’m homegrown. I’m from here. My story starts here. That is a testament that All Elite Wrestling has been a huge, gigantic success.
  • On the topic of his upcoming match against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at this July’s All In: Texas event, Page stated “I’m so incredibly proud of this company. For so long, the world champion that I’ve had my eyes set on from the very first Double or Nothing has been hidden in a briefcase. It should be a shining light to the world and a testament to what All Elite Wrestling is and what it’s about. The champion isn’t the person who holds the championship. The championship means so much more than that. Being the champion is being the champion of everyone on this roster, this entire company, and all the fans that have supported us all these years. To keep it hidden in a briefcase, I’m going to be the one to take it out.
  • On the topic of his message to his fans, Page thanked everyone who has supported him since his Being The Elite days and fans saw something in him that he refused to see in himself.
  • During her portion of the media scrum, AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Mone gave her thoughts about “Timeless” Toni Storm and their upcoming match for the AEW Women’s World Championship at All In: Texas. Mone stated “She might be timeless, but I’m legendary. I’m iconic and my legacy can never be undone. I mean, I’ve been looking forward to facing Toni Storm for a very long time. I’ve been watching her for years, all the way since STARDOM. She is timeless for a reason. She holds the AEW Women’s Championship for a reason. But I’m four belts Moné, I am the CEO of not only AEW, RevPro, New Japan. Soon we’ll be going to Mexico. But, I am a global champion for a reason and I want all the gold and Toni, be prepared for your greatest match of your life. She’s legit one of the reasons why I came to AEW. She put AEW on storm for me. I couldn’t stop watching every single week because of her. But I’m ready to dethrone the ‘Timeless’ one and we’re gonna go onto the revolution of Mercedes Moné.
  • On the topic of her recent interactions with ROH Women’s World Champion Athena, Mone stated that she is not afraid of Athena and suggested to AEW CEO Tony Khan that maybe she should stop by Ring of Honor and take Athena’s title for her belt collection.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, Bandido talked about him wrestling against Mascara Dorada at AEW and CMLL’s co-promoted show on June 17th at the Arena Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico. AEW CEO Tony Khan responded stating that Bandido will be defending his ROH World Championship against Dorada at this upcoming show.
  • On the topic of Mistico, Bandido stated that hopes to be able to wrestle against him one day for his wrestling career.
  • During her portion of the media scrum, AEW Women’s World Champion “Timeless” Toni Storm responded in character about her upcoming title match against Mercedes Mone at All In: Texas event.
  • On the topic of her kiss to Mina Shirakawa following their match for her title at Double or Nothing 2025, Storm responded again in character talking about how their relationship is casual and they are casual lovers.
  • On the topic of if there is anything bigger in Texas, Storm stated “I believe it’s my bottom that might be bigger than Texas.” In response to if it was even bigger than her upcoming match against Mone at All In: Texas, Storm stated “My bottom? It’s pretty bloody big, my bottom.
  • During his portion of the media scrum, AEW CEO Tony Khan stated that the wrestlers have been the “lifeblood” of AEW over its past six years in existence.
  • On the topic of the recent comments Scorpio Sky stated in a recent podcast show about his current lengthy abscense in AEW, Khan stated “I like Scorpio Sky. It’s interesting, Scorpio Sky’s name came up recently and he mentioned he was looking to come back and I have had talks with Scorpio Sky about different ideas and things we could do. In greater detail. He’s someone who has been here from day one and I have a lot of respect for him and he’s someone I really like. I saw that he said that, and I had talked to Scorpio Sky about doing something and we ended up going with something in a different direction. It’s kind of a long story, but it would make a lot of sense in context. Maybe not now, at this time, but I do like Scorpio Sky and he’s part of the roster. I had an idea for Scorpio Sky that I think was a good idea. We talked about it and it didn’t work out for reasons between us, but it’s a legit thing and I’m fine with it. I would like to use him for a different idea when the time is right.
  • On the topic of AEW airing the “Bodies Hit The Floor” song by Drowning Pool during the Anarchy in the Arena match, Khan stated he was pleased to be able to get the song’s rights for the Anarchy in the Arena match. Khan also stated that he feels that this year’s match was the best in Anarchy in the Arena match history.
  • On the topic of the potential headliner match for All In: Texas, Khan stated it is possible that Mone vs. Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship could headline the show. Khan also stated that Hangman Adam Page’s match against Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship could also headline and either would be great options.
  • On the topic of Will Ospreay’s loss in the Finals of the Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament and where things will now go for Ospreay, Khan praised Ospreay stating that he has been “absolutely fantastic” in AEW and has been a workhorse. Khan also stated that anytime he has needed to rely on Ospreay, he has been there for him and AEW.
  • On the topic of other companies counter-programming their shows against AEW’s shows, Khan stated “It’s pretty consistent. I’d say it’s the most consistent event head-to-head scheduling I’ve seen since Jim Crockett Promotions saw a lot of scheduling that went that way. I can tell you this will go a lot differently than that did.” While Khan did not reference WWE by name, this question was implied to be based on WWE’s recent efforts to hold shows on the same nights and times as AEW’s shows.
