Jim Ross Colon Cancer Status Update – Ross Underwent Successful Surgery

As noted before, AEW and wrestling announcer legend Jim Ross was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and was scheduled to undergo surgery on Tuesday, May 27th.

Wrestling podcast personality Conrad Thompson provided an update earlier today on Twitter stating that Ross had underwent successful surgery for his colon cancer.

“Just heard from @rmorfnyc that JR’s surgery went well and they hope to have successfully removed all of his cancer this morning! Please keep @JRsBBQ in your thoughts and prayers as he begins his recovery! 🙏 🤲 ♥️”

Speedball Mike Bailey Comments on His Match with Kazuchika Okada at AEW Double or Nothing 2025

This past Sunday’s AEW Double or Nothing 2025 event in Glendale, Arizona featured Kazuchika Okada defeating “Speedball” Mike Bailey to retain the AEW Continental Championship.

Bailey recently reflected on Twitter about his match with Okada at AEW’s Double or Nothing 2025 event giving him the same feeling he had when he saw the Kenny Omega vs. Okada match in person at the Tokyo Dome at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

“The best match I’ve ever seen in person was Omega vs Okada in the Tokyo Dome in 2017.

I felt it then it and again at last night – Okada is truly one of the greatest wrestlers of all time.

Now let’s keep going and come back stronger. Thank you all for your support.”
