AEW announcer and wrestling announcer legend Jim Ross announced earlier today on Twitter that he was recently diagnosed with colon cancer and will be undergoing surgery within the next week or two for it.

Ross last appeared on commentary for AEW at this past April’s Dynasty 2025 event.
Ross has been dealing with several health-related issues in recent years including his battle with skin cancer and a broken hip suffered from a fall at his home.
