As noted before, “The Glamour” Mariah May’s contract with AEW is currently believed to be expiring either this summer or this November and she is currently believed to be potentially leaving AEW for WWE once her contract expires.
May’s profile was recently removed from AEW’s roster page on their official website. This is usually an indication of a person’s contract with the company being expired and them departing the company.
PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources within WWE stated that May is currently expected to be heading to the company and start there within the near future.
Fightful Select reported that their sources confirmed that May is expected to be joining WWE once her contract with AEW officially expires.
It was reported that May has also secured new representation for ventures outside of the ring signaling her plans for a a career beyond pro wrestling as well.
AEW management reportedly was well aware that May had intended to move on and WWE insiders confirmed that the company has had its eye on her for some time. It was also reported that many within AEW were surprised that her contract did not include an option year which is a common clause for contracts with the company.
It was reported that while those within WWE stated that there is a strong interest in bringing May aboard, no deal can be finalized until her contract with AEW expires and she is legally available to sign. Those within AEW and WWE reportedly have confirmed that May has yet to sign a new deal.
