Shelton Benjamin Responds to Hulk Hogan Calling Him Wrong Name & Wanting Hogan to Keep His Name Out of His Mouth

While promoting his new Real American Freestyle Wrestling promotion, WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was interviewed by TMZ Sports. One of the topics discussed included Hogan’s thoughts about amateur wrestlers making the transition to professional wrestling and gave Shelton Benjamin as an example but called him “Benjamin Shelton” instead.

“You know, Benjamin Shelton, all these different guys that I’ve had the opportunity to see adapt to our business. And I said, you know something, there’s something there with these amateur guys.”

Benjamin responded on Twitter to Hogan bringing up his name in public and messing it up telling Hogan to keep his name out of his mouth. Benjamin also brought up Hogan’s backstage apology to WWE’s locker room in WWE 2018 over him getting caught using the n word multiple times and admitted to being a racist in a leaked video in 2015. This backstage apology incident was notable for several people within WWE taking issue with Hogan being more concerned over getting caught than giving a genuine apology.

“Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your ‘don’t get caught’ …or as you would call it ‘apology’ speech. So rather than screw up my name and pretend we ever had any sort of camaraderie which we never had. Please do me a favor & [keep my name out of your f*cking mouth]”
