CM Punk vs. AJ Styles vs. El Grande Americano for Men’s MitB Qualifier Match Announced for June 2nd WWE RAW Show

WWE announced one new match for the card of their WWE RAW show on June 2nd at the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

This new match announced was a Men’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat match of CM Punk vs. AJ Styles vs. El Grande Americano.

Women’s Money in the Bank Qualifying Triple Threat match – Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan vs. Ivy Nile

LWO Reportedly Worked at May 30th WWE EVOLVE Tapings

Fightful Select reported that RAW brand stable LWO had worked at WWE’s WWE EVOLVE tapings prior to the start of Friday’s WWE SmackDown show in Knoxville, Tennessee.

It was not stated which members of the group had been scheduled to work at the recent WWE EVOLVE tapings but the group will be factored into the mix for EVOLVE for at least the next few episodes.

Elektra Lopez Comments on Her WWE Release & Original Plans for Her Main Roster Call-up

A recent episode of The Fan’s View podcast featured Karissa Rivera, former Elektra Lopez in WWE, as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Rivera’s thoughts about her release from WWE this past February.

“I was super surprised because I was just on TV that Friday. It was out of nowhere. I was at TV on Friday and we had just gotten assigned a new writer. I was super excited. I had been pitching ideas for months. I was saying I wanted to be on live events and wanted to work with girls because I want to wrestle. I don’t want to just manage. I don’t mind managing, but I want to be able to do both because of how it was when I was in NXT, I was mostly managing them and I wanted it to be different because I wanted to wrestle. I can wrestle and when I tried out, I tried out as a wreslter, not as a manger. I can do both and have no problem doing that, but I also wanted to build a name for myself, not just be in the shadows of the boys.
I was on TV that Friday. People were getting released while we were at work. ‘Oh shit, maybe I dodged this bullet this round.’ I get home and it was maybe 2:30 in the afternoon and I get a call, and they told me the news. No reason given. Nothing. Again, I’m not saying anything bad about anybody, I don’t want that to be misconstrued, but I had worked so hard for this and I feel like I wasn’t given a fair opportunity. If I were given an opportunity and I failed, I can understand it, but you didn’t really give me an opportunity to show you what I can do when I’m more than just a manager. You brought me up to be in the role and put me in a box and then you cut me because it didn’t work out. You didn’t let me open that box and show you what I can do. I was very surprised. Got no explanation as to what the reason was. I was very shocked. It was a year to the day that I had gotten called up to the main roster.”

Rivera also gave her thoughts about how she was originally planned to be called up to the main roster with the rest of Legado Del Fantasma in October of 2022 and how she was told the day of that she was not going to be called up with the group at the time.

“Let’s go back to how it all began. People don’t realize what actually happened. We were all told we were called up together. We had our last vignette where we all drive away from NXT, together. I’m not talking bad about the company or anything, I’m just stating what happened. Two months go by and we’re waiting for them to tell us when we’re going to debut. Finally, we all get a call on Wednesday. ‘You guys are debuting this Friday on SmackDown. This is your flight and travel.’ We got all of that, including me. Thursday comes, I’ve finished up packing, I’m in the gym working out, thinking, ‘This is what you’ve worked your entire life and it’s finally happening.’ I get back home, I had checked in and downloaded my boarding pass. I’m about to leave to go the airport and I get a missed call from someone. ‘The boys are going up and you’re not going with them.’ ‘Are you sure? I have all my travel and hotel. Are you sure?’ ‘Yeah, I just got word this morning.’ This person was actually upset, too. You could hear it in his voice. ‘Unfortunately, they put it on me to give you the call to tell you.’ It’s something where it’s everything you worked for and you’ve finally accomplished it….I even told all my family. That day I was supposed to fly out, I started telling my close family and friends. When I got that call, everything you think you have in the palm of your hand, it was just gone. I hung up the phone and literally stood there for ten minutes in disbelief. As any human, I broke down. You had me thinking for almost three months that this was happening. If you knew this wasn’t going to happen, you probably knew ahead of time. Why give me my flight information, my hotel, everything, and then tell me, ‘Actually, you’re not.’ That’s what it was.”

Rivera also gave her thoughts about her belief why she was not called up with the rest of Legado and replaced with Zelina Vega at the time.

“I don’t know. Maybe they wanted somebody….I have a good relationship with Zelina. It’s a business. I honestly don’t know. I feel like they knew that’s what was going to happen, and it was a mistake. Not trying to talk bad about the company, but for a billionaire company, how was there a communication mistake like that? You should know ahead of time, especially when I’ve been taken out of classes at NXT for two months because I was going up. I took it as, ‘Alright. This happened. All I’m going to do is train harder, work harder, and prove to them why I deserve to be up there,’ and that’s what I did.
What if I didn’t answer the call? That flight, the worst part is, they didn’t even cancel the whole thing out. My return flight home, I got a notification, ‘You’re ready to check in for your flight.’ I was like, ‘Are you kidding me? They didn’t even cancel the flight so I get a notification? Really?’ Just twist the knife and really dig it in.”
