Shawn Michaels Comments on Experience on the Road is “So Important” for WWE NXT Roster

The CW 39 Houston held a recent interview with WWE SVP of NXT and Talent Relations Shawn Michaels. One of the topics discussed included Michaels’ thoughts about how excited NXT talent are when they get the chance to compete on the road and how this road experience is “so important” for the NXT roster to have for their development.

” When we get an opportunity to get out on the road, they’re just over-the-top excited about the opportunity to be able to do that. But, also, it is so important to their development and what it is they’re doing. So as we have the opportunity to get out on the road, even if it’s down the road in Tampa, it is just a phenomenal experience for our young talent. Obviously we do our best to try to harness that — you know, they’re all like wild stallions and we do our best to harness it. And every now and then they can keep a lid on it when they’re in Orlando, but any time they get out on the road they’re ready to cut loose in that ring and just excite that audience to no end. So in Tampa, at Battleground, Memorial [Day] weekend, it is going to be a big, big night and an incredibly exciting show because our talent are ready to go.”

Sean Legacy Comments on WWE ID Skyrocketed His Career & Believes 2025 Will Be His Last Year On The Indies

WJBF held a recent interview with WWE ID talent Sean Legacy. One of the topics discussed included Legacy’s thoughts about how WWE’s WWE ID program has skyrocketed his wrestling career.

“I am signed with WWE doing a WWE I.D. prospect and man, I’m very grateful and it’s a blessing to have that right now because it’s been skyrocketing my career.

So I was in Germany, on a tour, on a wrestling tour and I got the phone call about it and I was like, ‘Man, this is awesome.’ I’m with the WWE but not signed with the WWE, you know? At first, it was kind of just a logo. It was just having that logo by your name and of course you’re getting paid and basically the money you’re getting goes to plane tickets to help you branch your name out even more. That’s what it looked like at first. But now, like I said earlier, it’s just growing and growing and growing… It was amazing. One of the best phone calls I’ve ever had.”

Legacy also gave his thoughts about his belief that 2025 will be the last year of his current career in the indies.

“Yes, dude. I’m walking in as I am the best one out of everybody. I have to. You have to have that mindset that you are the one and I have that mindset. Every time I go to the P.C. and train. Every time I work on EVOLVE, every time I even go to an indie show, like, I am the one and I am going to prove (to) everyone why Legacy will be super. You have to have that mindset of this is it, this is it and I truly do believe that this is my last year (on the indies) and I’m gonna keep going at it.”
