El Hijo del Vikingo Wins AAA Mega Title at Saturday’s AAA Event

Saturday’s Alianzas show for Lucha Libra AAA in Mexico City, Mexico featured El Hijo del Vikingo defeating Alberto El Patron to become the new AAA Mega Champion.

Vikingo is currently expected to defend his newly won AAA Mega title against Chad Gable at WWE’s Worlds Collide 2025 event on June 7th in Los Angeles, California following WWE accidentally spoiling Vikingo’s title victory this past week.

This was Vikingo’s second AAA Mega championship victory in his AAA career.

Los Garza vs. Nueva Generacion Dinamita for AAA Tag Titles Set for Triplemania Regia 2025

Saturday’s AAA Alianzas show also featured one new match announce for the card of Triplemania Regia 2025, which takes place on June 15th at the Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico.

This new match announced was an AAA World Tag Team Championship match of Los Garza (Angel & Berto) vs. Nueva Generacion Dinamita (Forastero & Sanson) (c).

This match was setup following a video airing featuring Legado Del Fantasma issuing a challenge to NGD for an AAA World Tag titles match at Triplemania Regia and this match being confirmed for the event. During his promo, Santos Escobar stated that Los Garza winning the tag titles would be the first step in a three-step plan for Legado. Escobar also stated that he will soon make his return to AAA.
