Friday’s WWE SmackDown show at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia featured Giulia defeating Zelina Vega to become the new WWE Women’s United States Champion.

This was Giulia’s first ever WWE Women’s United States Championship victory and her first ever championship victory in her WWE main roster career.
SmackDown Confirmed to Move Back to Two-Hours Starting July 4th
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured Michael Cole confirming that SmackDown will be returning back as a weekly two-hour show starting on Friday, July 4th.

Next week’s show will be taped on Monday, June 30th as part of a double set of tapings with WWE RAW that same night.
Outage Issues Affect International Live Broadcast of Friday’s WWE SmackDown Show
Friday’s WWE SmackDown show also featured the international broadcast feed on Netflix suffering an outage issue early into the show resulting in around a 20 minute delay before the feed went back to normal.
Following the resumption of the show, Michael Cole apologized for the delay and stated that it was due to technical issues.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that the reason for the outage was due to a power outage took place in the city of Riyadh affecting WWE’s broadcast of the show.
Johnson reported that those spoken to stated that the initial belief was that the outage had been caused by issues on Netflix’s end of the feed.
