AEW held a post-show media scrum following Saturday’s All In Texas event at the Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
Some of the notable highlights included:
- At the start of the media scrum, AEW CEO Tony Khan stated that the attendance for All In Texas was the largest for an AEW event in North America. Khan also stated that while he does not know the early total estimate for pay-per-view buys, the early buys were “ahead of anything we’ve had.”
- During his portion of the media scrum, Dustin Rhodes gave his thoughts about his newly won TNT Championship. Rhodes stated it feels incredible.
- Rhodes also gave his thoughts about his hard work paying off for his TNT title victory and his praise of AEW’s pay-per-view events. Rhodes stated “There’s so many people in the business that do a lot of bad things in my view, and they get pushed through the moon. And it’s not fair for somebody that works their ass off each week. But to finally do this now, my work has paid off and I’m very proud of myself. I’m very proud that we always kick ass on pay-per-views. Nobody can touch us. Nobody.“
- During their portion of the media scrum, Don Callis gloated about Kazuchika Okada’s AEW Unified Championship victory and them putting down Kenny Omega “for good.” Okada responded in a sacractic tone telling Omega to get well soon.
- On the topic of the new AEW Unified Championship, Khan stated that title matches will be held under Continental title rules. Khan stated “We did it under AEW rules. In this case, for AEW rules, the referee’s decision is final. We’ve gotten through this amazing run, Kazuchika Okada has been the Continental Champion, and there has never been any outsider interference. If anybody ever interfered in a Continental Title match, they would be fired. Tonight, we fought a match under the unified rules of AEW, where the referee’s decision is final. In this case, the referee had no way of knowing who pulled him out of the ring or who did anything after you [Callis] incapacitated them. If we had been under Continental rules, I would have fired you for that. Going forward, as the Unified Champion, the prevailing rules will be the Continental rules, so there will never be outside interference ever again in a Unified Championship match, now that the Continental rules apply, with the Continental Champion winning.“
- During her portion of the media scrum, “Timeless” Toni Storm read a prepared victory letter talking on her victory over Mercedes Mone to retain her AEW Women’s World Championship and gave shout out to several people, some in praise and some that she wanted to tell them to go “f*** themselves.” Storm stated “I am overcome with emotion. I am overcome with joy. My panties have been creamed with delight. I will not sell them. I’m just kidding. I don’t wear panties. They are a much fuller cut. Mostly, I am humbled and there are quite a lot of people I want to thank and quite a lot of people I’d like to tell to go fuck themselves. So, I have prepared a little speech. Mercedes Mone, thank you for making me a better wrestler and a better woman and for keeping your lips clean, all four of them, you taste great. When we meet again, as I know we will, I might not be so kind. Tony Schiavone, go fuck yourself. I know it was you in that bathroom stall. To the fans, thank you. I don’t know why you support me like you do, but if we all had good taste, none of us would be here. To Athena, go fuck yourself and each one your minions, but also congratulations. Tony Khan, no comment. Luther, thank you for being reliably an idiot. I always know you’ll never be there for me when I need you. Wendi Richter, go fuck yourself. Whether it’s this lifetime or the next one, I will put you in a head scissor and never let go. To Montel Vontavious Porter, thank you, it wasn’t cheap, but that was the right strain for my various psychological disorders. To The Rizzler, thank you, it wasn’t cheap, but that was the right cheese for my various psychological disorders. To my mother, go fuck yourself. If it wasn’t for your imbalanced love and parenting, I would not have become successful in this weekly coliseum of gay violence.” After answering some questions, Storm grabbed co-host Renee Paquette and carried her away out of the press room after saying that she liked her pants.
- During her portion of the media scrum, Athena stated that she has not wrestled so much back-to-back since spending time in Japan. Athena then stated that AEW now stood for “Athena Elite Wrestling.”
- On the topic of her Women’s Casino Gauntlet victory, Athena called out “Timeless” Toni Storm and stated that “I am forever” and she has been the best wrestler for years.
- During Athena’s portion, Tony Khan stated that the actual attendance for All In Texas might be closer to 30,000 once the full walk-up tally count is tallied.
- During his portion of the media scrum, Hangman Adam Page reflected on his journey in AEW stating that it has been an incredible journey over the past six years and he never could have imagined what AEW could have become. Page stated that he was so proud of that.
- On the topic of his newly won AEW World Championship, Page stated that with this new title reign, he has high expectations for himself, knowing what it is like to have held the title previously.
- Page also gave his thoughts about Swerve Strickland coming out to help him during his match despite their heated past issues and rivalry. Page stated “I’m going to have to think about that for a long time before I know an answer. He ruined my life for so long. I did the same to him. Tonight, he chose on his own to make my life better. I don’t know if that is for me, I don’t know if it’s for this company, or I don’t know if it’s for himself. I might never really figure that out. It does feel good to be able to let go a little bit of the past and be excited about the future.“
- During his portion of the media scrum, Tony Khan gave his thoughts about Adam Cole being pulled from All In Texas due to an injury and the process leading to the decision. Khan also praised Cole stating that he is a big part of AEW and is hopeful that he will be here forever. Khan stated “I fully support his decision to take some time. I felt like the right thing to do would be to vacate the championship and give Adam Cole time off, but also give him time to talk to the fans. Last night, when I was at ROH Supercard of Honor, planning for the pay-per-view, we put everything in place for Adam Cole to defend the championship against Kyle Fletcher. Coming out of Collision, Adam Cole came back, we talked, he was definitely planning to be at the pay-per-view, and even yesterday we had talked. Somewhere between late last night and early this morning, we talked, and he just wasn’t feeling well. That is the unpredictable nature of some of these injuries and it’s really important that Adam Cole takes the time to get right because he’s a great figure in AEW. We talked last night and both of us immediately reached a conclusion that it makes a lot of sense when he was not feeling right to go out for this. He’s one of the greatest pro wrestlers in the world, we both know it’s not good. He doesn’t feel very well if he’s not able to wrestle a championship match on the biggest show that AEW has ever done in North America. Adam Cole is a big part of AEW and hopefully he’ll be here forever. I just don’t know when the next time he’ll be wrestling is. He’s definitely still part of the team and the family.“
- On the topic of AEW’s Grand Slam Mexico show, Khan stated that he hopes to go back to Arena Mexico soon and praised it calling it the “cathedral of pro wrestling.” Khan also stated that he is always looking into going to new territories for shows in response to a question about AEW potentially holding shows in Chile or Puerto Rico in the future. Khan also stated that between the TBS and HBO MAX viewership of Grand Slam Mexico, it was one of the biggest viewerships for a show they have had in a long time.
- On the topic of the ROH World Championship match between Konosuke Takeshita and Bandido at ROH Supercard of Honor 2025, Khan praised the match calling it “fantastic.”
- On the topic of Red Velvet being pulled from ROH Supercard of Honor due to an injury, Khan stated “But speaking of the great TV Titles, the Women’s World TV Championship in Ring of Honor, Red Velvet, she’s done a great job representing the company as a World TV Champion. She’s gone to Arena México and made a great impression, and really, for a relatively new championship in the world of wrestling, the Women’s World TV Title has had a great profile. She’s really raised the profile being a great ambassador. That’s something I really value. Somebody who’s gone down to an Arena México, which has been a great partner to AEW, and to go down there and to put in a great shift, that’s gonna score huge points with me and even really raise the prestige of the title, I thought Red Velvet has… I was disappointed that Red Velvet couldn’t wrestle but also, it was the right thing to do because it seems like it hopefully could be a manageable injury. It’s not gonna be years and years that she’s gonna be out or anything. We’re eventually, hopefully gonna have a match and if Mina Shirakawa can keep retaining…” Khan also stated that Red Velvet suffered the injury during ROH’s Global Wars Mexico show. Khan stated “Interestingly enough, with a brand-new Interim Ring of Honor World Women’s Television Champion getting pinned by the Ring of Honor World Women’s Champion who’s held the belt for years and was actually teaming with Red Velvet in the match she got hurt in against Persephone who’s another great wrestler who was in that match and Thunder Rosa…“
- On the topic of the potential of AEW debuting Women’s Tag Team Championships in the future, Khan stated that if there were brackets for an inagural tournament, he would of had to change them in the last few weeks due to injuries. Khan mentioned Jamie Hayter as an example. Khan also stated that eventually this is something he is interested in doing for AEW.
- On the topic of the Young Bucks and Will Ospreay & Swerve Strickland tag team match, Khan gave his praise to the Young Bucks, Ospreay, and Strickland for the match they had on the show, Khan also stated that one of his focuses in 2025 was rebuilding the men’s tag team division.
- On the topic of when the Men’s and Women’s Casino Gauntlet winners will get their World title matches, Khan stated “I will be giving more clarity to that on the TV shows. Last year, [cashing in] was the format. It’s been treated different times different ways. I’m going to sit with the winners, sit with the champions, sit with the schedule, and I’m going to put some real thought into when I’m going to make those announcements. I think there is a cadence that makes a lot of sense for this. It would be safe to say that the challengers have earned some say into when they cash these things in so I will be making those announcements very soon.“
