In-Ring: Mercedes Mone, “Timeless” Toni Storm

We get the intro video to bring us to ringside, where Mercedes Moné makes her way out for her final face-to-face with “Timeless” Toni Storm ahead of All In Texas!

The ring is decked out with a red carpet of sorts and a pair of director’s chairs as the CEO and TBS Champion enters, telling Texas to say hello to their CEO. Moné calls the AEW Women’s World Champion out to meet her face to face, but the screen comes on instead. Storm talks about two big things coming out of Texas…and Toni Storm is at least one of them. This gets a pop and “Toni” chant from the crowd, as Mercedes tells her to come out of hiding…you mark. She also promises not to hurt Luther too badly, but Toni insists she’s not hiding before calling for her music.

The champion storms(!) her way down the ramp with a bottle of champagne. Moné offers a toast with Storm…a toast for herself, as she will be the new AEW Women’s World Champion. She takes a sip, complaining about it being “burnt” as if it was frozen…but Storm tells her to save the performative BS for her entrance. She runs down her challenger (a highlight of which is saying Moné has the “emotional depth of a kiddie pool”), asking what Mercedes has to hide going into their match.

Mercede mocks her, insisting that she outclasses Toni in every way, before saying no one will stop the Money Train…not even Toni Storm. She talks about her legacy and calls herself the One Woman Revolution, the Alpha and Omega and everything in between…but Toni says legacies don’t exist. We’re all going to die. All that matters is one moment…that Mercedes looks her in the eye and realizes she fears an ordinary life but Toni fears an ordinary death. She says Moné deserves all the titles in the world…but not this one.

Mercedes will go down as the woman who just couldn’t win the big one. Mercedes realizes they can’t be civil about it, saying this Sunday…she means this Saturday…she will have to simply beat Toni Storm and take what’s hers. The crowd let her know what they think of that slip as the pair “toast” one more time…before Storm charges at the TBS Champion! She lays in some punches before Moné clears out of the ring, retreating up the ramp as Toni’s music hits while Storm runs Mercedes down some more.

Backstage: Jon Moxley

We cut to a backstage vignette where Jon Moxley talks about Hangman Adam Page, asking if he can hold the line under pressure of everyone counting on him at All In Texas. He thinks Page is a waste, but the Hangman has one chance to prove him wrong. He’d better walk that aisle like it’s his last time, because whether he likes it or not, he is all the way in with this.

Parking Lot: The Young Bucks

We cut to the parking lot, where the Young Bucks have egregiously missed call time to finally arrive ahead of the All-Star 8-Man Tag Team Match later tonight. The cheek of them.

Bandido & Brody King vs. Protoshita (Kyle Fletcher & Konosuke Takeshita)

We start off with Brody and Takeshita, the two big men trading heavy strikes until King takes the upper hand. This forces the Alpha to make the tag to Fletcher, who ends up suffering a similar fate until King decides to tag in Bandido. The luchador keeps the Protostar on his toes with a flurry of offense, forcing Fletcher to his corner where he calls out Konosuke to tag in. Takeshita obliges and we get a peek at what’s to come at Supercard of Honor when the two go at it, with Bandido catching Takeshita with an arm drag only to get laid out with a lariat by the Alpha. He catches Brody with one sending him right back out of the ring, leading to a dive from Bandido, Konosuke, and King!

King brings his partner back into the ring to work on a double team on Konosuke, but Fletcher intervenes to even things out. He and Takeshita send Brody out of the ring, posing to the chagrin of the crowd as we go to a full ad break on HBO Max.

Back from break, Fletcher is in control as he goes after Bandido before sending him into the corner…only for the luchador to knock Takeshita off the apron, which lets him focus on taking Fletcher down next! Tag made to Brody, who takes the Protostar to the mat with a big side slam before sending him to the corner for a running cannonball. He pulls Kyle away from the corner for a cover, but only gets a two count.

Fletcher is back up for a thrust kick, but that gets blocked…only for Kyle to take him down with a Michinoku driver! This only gets a two count, before Kyle escapes for a tag to Takeshita. Bandido tags in as well but Protoshita double-team him…until Brody hops onto the apron, catching Fletcher with a sleeper while Bandido goes up top for a frog splash on the Alpha! Cover by Bandido, but Fletcher barely manages to break the pin.

Brody and Fletcher take their fight to the outside as Takeshita blocks a 21 Plex. Bandido makes his way up onto the ropes but is take back down, and a torneo attempt leads to Raging Fire taking him down as Takeshita takes the win for his team!

Winner: Protoshita via Pinfall.

Callis joins the pair to celebrate as commentary hypes up the upcoming week leading to All In Texas on Saturday (not Sunday).

Video: The Outrunners

Video Package: The Outrunners promise to take FTR down tomorrow night, with Jet Speed and The Patriarchy in the mix for an 8-Man Tag Match on Collision!

Backstage: FTR, Stokely Hathaway, The Patriarchy

Backstage, we hear from FTR and The Patriarchy. Christian Cage and Nick Wayne challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Championship at All In Texas, and Cage offers to help FTR out after they win the titles in exchange for help at Collision tomorrow night. Stoke addresses the fact that FTR were left out of the title match on Saturday, agreeing to Cage’s offer only so far as saying we’ll see how Collision goes.

Ricochet vs. Blake Christian

Back at ringside, Ricochet makes his way out as we get an inset promo from Blake Christian, who is in the ring for our next match as things get underway!

Blake goes after Ricochet early, taking him to the ropes before Ricochet fights back. Christian forces him to the outside for a breather, but manages to turn things around on him despite “bald” chants from the crowd. Blake manages to get back in control, eventually sending Ricochet out of the ring as the crowd cheers for him. He goes for a dive, leaping through the ropes to take Ricochet to the floor to a nice pop.

Gates of Agony make their way out, distracting Blake long enough for Ricochet to send him into the ring steps as we go to an ad break on HBO Max.

Back from break, both men are in the ring once more…but not for long, as Ricochet sends Blake to the outside. He goes for a dive, but gets caught by Christian for a two count. Blake is up on his feet, laying into Ricochet with some right hands until Ricochet fights back…but Christian hits a cutter, setting up for a 450 splash and a close two count on Ricochet!

Blake goes to the ropes but is knocked to the outside, as the Gates of Agony try to intervene. They manage to succeed right after Ricochet distracts the ref, and this gives Ricochet the opening for a Spirit Gun, followed by the Vertigo for the win!

Winner: Ricochet via Pinfall.

Gates of Agony come in to beat up on Blake after the match, before they stand beside him as he celebrates his win.

Backstage: The Hurt Syndicate

Backstage, Renee talks to MJF about the upcoming “Talky-Talk” with Briscoe, but MJF insists he won’t be dealing with that alone as he has the Hurt Syndicate with him. MVP interrupts to get the tag champs to grab their titles, only to find out that JetSpeed have taken the belts early after Kevin Knight got the win over Shelton on Collision! This riles the trio up, leaving MJF on his own as we cut away.

Video: Kenny Omega, Kazuchika Okada

Video Package: The history between Kazuchika Okada and Kenny Omega leading to their Winner Takes All Match at All In Texas!

In-Ring: Mark Briscoe, MJF

We’re back at ringside as Mark Briscoe heads out for…(sigh)…a “Talky-Talk” with MJF. Speaking of, Maxwell Jacob Friedman makes his way out next, entering the ring as the first two entrants in the upcoming Casino Gauntlet Match stare each other. “Tiny pickle” chant from the crowd, until Mark asks them to settle down for this…(heavy sigh)…”Talky-Talk.” MJF feels even more strongly about this than I do, as he runs Briscoe down before mocking the Texas crowd as he jokes about “dogwalking” Briscoe at All In Texas.

The crowd tells him to “shut the F up,” but MJF persists as he tells Briscoe there will be no “talky-talk” but he can take a “walky-walk” right on out of this ring. Briscoe says to listen here, pickle…it sounds like you need is a good ol’ fashioned country ass whoopin’. The crowd encourage him as he talks about delivering said whoopin’ to win the Casino Gauntlet…but that is Saturday. Wednesday is “Talky-Talk” day.

MJF tried to berate Briscoe, but it doesn’t work because Mark is proud to be a country redneck, to have had to work hard for every dollar he’s earned. He talks about MJF thinking he’s rich, but Mark has his own riches in his family and loved ones. MJF isn’t rich, he’s bankrupt. In fact, the word of the day today is bankrupt, because MJF is morally bankrupt and he has no soul. He sees right through MJF, and already knows he’s gonna do.

He knows MJF is gonna talk some mad trash about his brother and try to rile him up, and invites him to give it his best. MJF says he’d never talk bad about Jay, who will go down as one of the greatest wrestlers and human beings ever. However…he does pity his brother, who has had to watch from the pearly gates to see Mark Briscoe going from being one half of the best tag team in pro wrestling to becoming a joke.

He then leans in as he says that Jay would probably tell Mark “it shouldn’t have been me in that accident…it should’ve been you.” This gets Mark mad enough to take MJF down to the mat, laying in some punches before the Hurt Syndicate come down to make the save. They make their way down as Briscoe chases MJF to the back, only to be intercepted by JetSpeed…who take Shelton to the ring steps before laying out Lashley with a running kick on the floor!

They continue the fight as The Patriarchy come out to pick up the scraps. They focus on Lashley, setting him up for a Con-Chair-To on his knee as JetSpeed focus on dealing with Shelton Benjamin in the ring. Thrust kick by Speedball leads to a UFO Splash by Kevin Knight, before the pair stare down The Patriarchy who look at them from outside the ring.

Women’s Casino Gauntlet #2 Spot Four-way Match
Megan Bayne vs. Thekla vs. Queen Aminata vs. Tay Melo

Back at ringside, Megan Bayne is accompanied by Penelope Ford as she makes her way out for our next match! We get a shot of Kris Statlander watching from the crowd as Thekla makes her entrance next, followed by Queen Aminata. Rounding out the competitors for this 4-Way Match is Tay Melo, accompanied by Anna Jay to the ring before we get underway!

Bayne goes after Thekla from the opening bell as Aminata and Melo go at it. Thekla is sent out of the ring by Megan, who lays out Tay and the Queen with a double clothesline…before the action spills to the outside, culminating in a dive off the top by Aminata! Thekla takes control shortly after, however, as we go to a full ad break on HBO Max.

Back from break, Thekla gets a two count on Aminata. Melo comes in to intervene, but Bayne breaks it up quick before going after the Queen and Tay. Megan takes control as she drives Thekla down for a nearfall of her own, before Aminata and Melo go after the Megasus. They duck a double clothesline before sending her out of the ring, and Aminata rolls up Tay for a two before Thekla breaks it up.

This doesn’t last for much longer before Megan gets involved, hoisting Thekla up to launch her over the rope onto Aminata and Melo after sending them outside…and then landing a big dive of her own when they get back on their feet! She brings Tay back in the ring, but Melo manages to fight back with some kicks.

She sets up Bayne for a Gory special knee strike…but gets sent out of the ring as Thekla goes after the Megasus instead! She sets up for a spear, but only gets a nearfall before Aminata breaks the pin. Bayne is sent out of the ring as Aminata turns things around on Thekla to send her to the ropes…before Penelope intervenes! Anna pulls her away as Megan sets up for Fate’s Descent, having to quickly adjust to keep Aminata’s shoulders on the mat as she gets the win to earn the #2 spot in the Casino Gauntlet Match at All In Texas!

Winner: Megan Bayne via Pinfall.

Bayne celebrates as commentary acknowledges the recent tragedy in central Texas, as AEW will keep the victims and their families in their thoughts.

Backstage: Thekla, Queen Aminata, Mark Briscoe

Backstage, Renee tries to get a word with Thekla about the women’s Casino Gauntlet Match on Saturday, but she gets attacked by Queen Aminata! They go at it as Mark Briscoe pops up to say he got just what he needed from MJF tonight, and is all fired up to win the men’s Casino Gauntlet Match at All In Texas.

Samoa Joe vs. Wheeler Yuta

We head back to ringside as Samoa Joe makes his entrance for our next match. Wheeler Yuta makes his way down the hallway leading to through the crowd, soaking in the hate from the fans on his way toward ringside before this match gets underway!

The crowd lets Yuta know “Joe’s gonna kill you” as he tries to lock up with the former World Champion, who seems barely fazed even by Wheeler wrenching his arm. Joe takes him to the mat, forcing him to go for the ropes for a break. Yuta calls for a test of strength, and Joe obliges…which causes an issue for Wheeler as he gets sent to the corner. He catches Joe for a moment, but Joe “nopes” away from a jump from Yuta.

Joe leaves the ring as Wheeler goes for another dive…and Joe “nopes” away once more, forcing Yuta to land on the floor as we go to a full ad break on HBO Max.

We come back from break just as Joe gets a nearfall on Yuta, and both men get back to their feet before Joe takes Yuta back to the canvas. Wheeler manages to fight back enough to send Joe to the outside for a dive that connects this time, and when Joe gets back in the ring he’s taken down by Yuta for a two count.

Joe gets sent to the corner, but fights back until Yuta takes him down for an armbar. Joe fights back for a Manhattan Drop before getting a two off a running senton. He keeps on top of Yuta for a second nearfall in a row, before bringing Yuta to the corner. He then sends Yuta to the ropes, but Wheeler looks for a German suplex…only to take a bite out of Joe, trying to roll him up! Joe counters into a Coquina Clutch, and Wheeler Yuta taps out!

Winner: Samoa Joe via Submission.

The celebration is cut short by the arrival of Gabe Kidd, but Powerhouse Hobbs and Katsuyori Shibata run down to intervene. Kidd and Yuta escape to the crowd as we go to commercial break ahead of our main event up next!

All Star 8-Man Tag Team Match
The Opps (Powerhouse Hobbs & Katsyuori Shibata), Will Ospreay, & Hangman Adam Page vs. The Young Bucks (Matthew & Nicholas Jackson) & Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli & Jon Moxley)

We’re back from break and there’s been enough talk…it’s time for our main event! Hobbs and Shibata are introduced as they’re (obviously) still out here from moments ago. Out next is Will Ospreay to a big pop from the Garland crowd. Rounding out the team is Hangman Adam Page to his own big pop as he heads to the ring. Out next are the Young Bucks to a mixed reaction, something the EVPs seem to lean into as we get Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli coming through the crowd to head toward ringside. The pair enter the ring, and we get things underway with our main event!

We eventually start off with Page and Matthew, though Hangman is more focused on Mox and this allows Matthew to take advantage. Tag to Nicholas, and the Bucks take down their former best friend…only for Ospreay to get a tag to even things up! He takes out Matthew before tagging in Shibata, the pair taking the fight to Nicholas in the corner before HObbs tags in for an assist. Power slam leads to a tag to Ospreay, who hits a Skytwister Press for a nearfall before it gets broken up.

The action spills outside as all eight men go at it, leading to Page going for a big moonsault off the top onto the rest down below as we go to a full ad break on HBO Max!

Back from break, Page gets the tag to go after everyone he can before finally focusing on Matthew for a fall away slam. He goes after Claudio with a dive to the outside as we spot a table set up at ringside. Page gets back in the ring for a Liger Bomb on Matthew, but Nicholas breaks the pin up at two.

In the midst of a Dead Eye attempt we barely catch that Claudio gets a blind tag, before he goes after the Hangman. Tag made to Hobbs and the Powerhouse trades shots with Castagnoli before sending him to the corner for a series of strikes amidst a “meat” chant.

Claudio starts to fight back, but Shibata makes the tag to go after him. The Bucks and Page jump in, and chaos ensues until Ospreay gets caught with a double superkick by The Bucks. They do the same to Hobbs, setting him up to be sent through the table by Claudio! EVP Trigger connects on Shibata as Moxley gets the tag now, cinching in a bulldog choke…and Shibata has no choice but to tap out!

Winner: The Young Bucks & Death Riders via Submission.

Page tries to intervene but is cut off by Gabe Kidd, with Yuta coming in as the Death Riders set up Page before handing a pair of plastic bags to cover the Hangman with. The EVPs are hesitant to do to their old friend what was once done to Bryan Danielson…and they never quite do it, as the screen reveals Swerve Strickland out in the parking lot.

He talks about the choices that have to be made in life, before we discover that he’s operating an excavator…and he goes to work destroying the custom limousine of the Young Bucks! We cut between him doing this and The Opps and Page turning things around on the Bucks and the Death Riders.

Page looks to set up for a Buckshot Lariat on Mox, but Claudio intercepts with an uppercut. This doesn’t faze the Hangman all that much as he sends Castagnoli away before staring down the champ. He’s handed a chain that he looks to use on Mox, but Shafir pulls him away as the Death Riders escape through the crowd.

We cut to the parking lot, where the Young Bucks are beside themselves at the sight of the caved-in limo. Prince Nana mocks them for a moment, before Strickland gets the jump on them with a Swerve Stomp sending the Bucks to the ground!

Back at ringside, Hangman continues to stare Mox down as the Death Riders retreat ahead of the big showdown at All In Texas to bring Dynamite to a close.
