WWE has been having a working partnership with the Saudi Arabian government’s General Entertainment Authority since 2018 as part of a 10-year deal for WWE events in the country. This deal originally started with one WWE event per year in Saudi Arabia that was later increased to two events per year until this year with only Night of Champions 2025 being held in the country.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that WWE’s current deal with Saudi Arabia is currently set to expand in regards to the number of shows held in the country next year.
It was reported that besides next year’s Royal Rumble event, WWE currently has plans underway to hold three PLEs in Saudi Arabia in 2026. The reason for the increase reportedly is due to WWE officials making up for only one PLE event taking place in the country in 2025.
It was also reported that besides the Royal Rumble, the other two planned events are currently scheduled to take place in May and November of 2026. The name for either show is currently not known but the November date could be for next year’s Survivor Series event. One source spoken to within WWE reportedly stated that they believed it would be unlikely the company would do a Survivor Series event in Saudi Arabia unless they moved the event from the week of Thanksgiving, which has been when the event has taken place over the past four years. This same source reportedly also stated that unless the date was changed, this would mean that talent would be away from their homes and families for the Thanksgiving holidays.
