Mercedes Mone on Sasha Banks “Wanted It All, But She Never Got To Hold It All” & Her New Merchandise Deal with Crunchyroll

CBS Sports held a recent interview with Mercedes Mone. One of the topics discussed included Mone’s thoughts about how her current “CEO” character is everything that her prior character Sasha Banks wanted to be.

“She wanted it all, but she never got to hold it all. Mercedes Mone, the CEO, is everything ‘The Legit Boss’ wanted to be. She controls her life, narrative and intellectual property.

It’s being the boss of your life, taking control and doing that daily. I feel the best I’ve ever felt in my professional wrestling career. It’s so crazy to say that. I thought maybe my 20s would be my highest point. Here I am going into my 15th year of professional wrestling feeling my greatest. I can’t even imagine what the next five years will hold.”

Mone also gave her thoughts about her recent merchandise partnership deal with anime company Crunchyroll.

“It’s a dream come true. I’ve loved anime since before I can remember… I always connected with anime, watching it before and after school. It was a different escape before I found pro wrestling.”
