KENTA on His GCW Heavyweight Title Victory at NOAH 25th Anniversary Show

As noted before, this past Sunday’s 25th Anniversary New Departure Night 2 event for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Tokyo, Japan featured KENTA winning the GHC Heavyweight Championship for the second time in his NOAH career.

NOAH’s official website held a recently interview with KENTA. One of the topics discussed included KENTA’s thoughts about his recent GHC Heavyweight title victory.

“Of course, I’m happy, but NOAH is on a roll right now, and I’ve become the champion again. I feel a sense of responsibility to maintain that momentum.

After I left NOAH, many things happened, I made many choices, and I came back to NOAH. I was able to create something, so I knew my choice was not wrong, and I think that a lot of things have come together to get me to this point.”

KENTA also gave his thoughts about his belief that Kenoh was the “MVP” of NOAH’s set of shows over this past weekend.

“Looking back on these two days, I think Kenoh was clearly the MVP. He really helped to energize the crowd… As someone who was with NOAH from the beginning, Kenoh isn’t a native member, but he’s done so much for NOAH. I want to work together to make NOAH even better. Of course, there’s the joy of winning the belt, but these two days also brought out those feelings.”

Carlos Silva Comments on Fans Being Upset Over Trick Williams & Jacy Jayne Winning at TNA Slammiversary 2025 & Being “Glad Fans Are Talking About It”

A recent episode of the Battleground Podcast featured TNA President Carlos Silva as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Silva’s thoughts about the negative fans reaction towards WWE’s Trick Williams retaining the TNA World Championship and Jacy Jayne winning the TNA Knockouts World Championship at Slammiversary 2025.

“How do you respond? You respond that I understand and I get it. If you saw the look on my face, that’s all part of wrestling. There were some great payoffs at Slammiversary with Leon (Slater) and there are going to be some great payoffs as we build again to Bound for Glory. These are the paths that happen as you build these matchups. For the fans, I guess what I would say is, I’m glad the fans are talking about it. That means we matter and they care. We care and we’re going to keep growing it together.”
