Bianca Belair Reportedly Nearing Return From Broken Finger Injury

As noted before, Bianca Belair has been out of action for WWE since this past April’s WrestleMania 41 Night 2 event due to a broken finger injury.

WrestleVotes reported that their sources stated that Belair is close to making her return from injury and is currently expected to be medically cleared for action this upcoming week.

It was reported that Belair could appear as soon as the SmackDown following SummerSlam on August 9th.

One source spoken to reportedly stated that Belair won’t be cleared ahead of this weekend.

Triple H Comments on “If We Were Afraid Of Criticism, We Wouldn’t Put On A Show Every Week”

A recent episode of ESPN’s First Take show featured WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque as a guest. One of the topics discussed included Levesque’s thoughts about why now the time was right for their new WWE Unreal docuseries.

“In today’s world, with the internet, half the fun for our fans is speculating around what is going on behind the scenes anyway. We decided to let them take a look. We’re not exactly showing you everything and how the magic is done or how the tricks are done, but we’re giving you the behind-the-scenes and showing you what goes into this. A lot of people think it’s just ‘these athletes show up and they put on a show’ and that’s it. ‘It’s all predetermined so it’s easy.’ It’s not that at all. There are a million things that go into this and a lot of complex navigating and it’s a fascinating look. For people that are fans, it’ll verify why they are and for those that aren’t, it gives you an interesting look inside of what we do and will probably make them more interested when they see all the behind-the-scenes to make this show come to life.”

Levesque also gave his thoughts about if there were concerns about letting fans in too much and allowing them to be more critical of WWE’s product.

“We looked at every aspect of that, the positives and the negatives and weighed it out. You can’t be afraid to do something in life. You can’t be afraid, ‘Somebody might criticize this.’ If we were afraid that somebody might criticize what we do, we wouldn’t put on a show every week. It’s part of what makes us wonderful and what we do. You can look at behind the scenes. No different than a sport. ‘This coach doesn’t know what he’s doing. I would have done this and that would have been better.’ You can think all those things, but seeing what goes into it. People who weren’t fans of F1 see what goes into it and it has increased their respect of the industry and what the athletes go through and what goes into bringing a race to life. I think this increases the respect level for what we do. Are there people who are going to criticize? Yes. Are they going to see things out of context or moments in time that they want to criticize and jump on? Absolutely. At the end of the day, we put on an amazing entertainment program that is seen by millions of millions around the globe. This is a look into what everybody behind the scenes goes through to put this show on. It is their life and passion. We all come at it from that point of view. At the end of the day, the passion earns respect from our fans and that’s why we’re doing it.”

Backstage Reaction to Vince McMahon Car Crash Incident

As noted before, former WWE and TKO Executive Chairman Vince McMahon was involved in a serious car accident last week in Connecticut and was charged with a misdemeanor for reckless driving and following too closely resulting in an accident.

Fightful Select reported that longtime WWE employees and those close to McMahon stated that it was a “joke, but serious” issue within the company for many years that he was an “erratic driver.” It was reported that this bad reputation of McMahon’s driving has been the case for decades to the point where some in his inner circle would intentionally not ride with him when offered a lift.

It was reported that while many had speculated McMahon typically uses a driver, this was debunked by one source close to him. This source reportedly stated that McMahon has “always enjoyed driving himself” and believed that driving makes McMahon feel “grounded.” This same source reportedly joked about the irony of that feeling while driving a car that costs $250,000.

The report also refuted speculation that McMahon typically uses a driver. One source close to McMahon told Fightful that he has “always enjoyed driving himself,” especially when not on the road with WWE. That same source stated their belief that driving makes McMahon feel “grounded,” while also joking about the irony of that feeling while driving a car that costs $250,000.
