WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event Notes: Bianca Belair to Guest Ref Jade Cargill vs. Naomi Match at Evolution 2, DDP, Steiner Bros, & More Appear, Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs. Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre Set for SummerSlam, Seth Rollins Suffers Knee Injury

Jelly Roll Makes Appearance on Saturday’s WWE SNME Show

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia featured musician Jelly Roll making an appearance.

Prior to the start of the opening match, Drew McIntyre came out with Logan Paul alongside him to be in his corner. Orton made his entrance afterwards with Jelly Roll alongside him to be in his corner.

During the match, Jelly Roll got into an argument with Paul at ringside that turned physical ending with Jelly Roll laying out Paul. This led to McIntyre yelling at Jelly Roll and being distracted long enough for Orton to hit an RKO to McIntyre for the pinfall victory. Following the match, Paul attacked Orton during his victory celebration leading to Jelly Roll getting in the ring to save Orton and cleared the ring of Paul. This then led to McIntyre hitting a Claymore Kick to Jelly Roll laying him out and left the ring.


Bianca Belair Announced as Special Guest Referee for Jade Cargill vs. Naomi Match at Evolution 2

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show also featured one newly updated match for the card of Evolution 2, which takes place on July 13th at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

This newly updated match was a No Holds Barred Special Guest Referee match of Jade Cargill vs. Naomi. It was announced that Bianca Belair will be the special guest referee for this match.

This newly updated match was setup following Naomi ambush attacking Jade Cargill resulting in a brawl breaking out and WWE officials and security rushing out. This led to SmackDown GM Nick Aldis stated that he had enough and originally wanted to tell this to them in his office but since they can’t wait a day to get their hands on each other, he will tell them it right now instead. Aldis stated that Belair will be the special enforcer for their No Holds Barred match at Evolution 2. This led to Belair coming out and making her way to ringside.

Diamond Dallas Page, Steiner Brothers, Blake Monroe, Jacy Jayne & More Make Appearance at Saturday’s WWE SNME Show

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show also featured WWE Hall of Famers Diamond Dallas Page and the Steiner Brothers (Rick & Scott Steiner), Blake Monroe, current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne, and former WWE security official Doug Dellinger making an appearance.

Prior to the start of the WWE United States Championship match between Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, Dellinger and DDP were shown at ringside in the crowd.

Prior to the start of the singles match between Seth Rollins and LA Knight, the Steiner Brothers were shown at ringside in the crowd.

Prior to the start of WWE World Heavyweight Championship match between Goldberg and Gunther, Blake Monroe and current NXT Women’s Champion Jacy Jayne were shown at ringside in the crowd.


Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs. Logan Paul & Drew McIntyre Announced for WWE SummerSlam 2025

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show also featured one new match announced for the card of SummerSlam 2025, which takes place on August 2-3 at the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

This new match was a tag team match of Randy Orton & Jelly Roll vs. Drew McIntyre & Logan Paul.

This new match was setup over recent bad blood issues between Orton & Jelly Roll and McIntyre & Paul. During tonight’s show, Jelly Roll and Paul got into another confrontation at ringside leading to Orton picking up the win over McIntyre after McIntyre was distracted. This led to a brawl breaking out after the match that ended with McIntyre laying out Jelly Roll. In a follow-up segment, Orton and Jelly Roll were seen backstage talking about McIntyre’s attack on Jelly Roll and Jelly Roll stating that he wants a match with both of them. Orton responded stating that he will team up with Jelly Roll against them at SummerSlam.

In a follow-up, it was announced that this match was made official for the show.

Seth Rollins Suffers Knee Injury on Saturday’s WWE SNME Show

Saturday’s WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event show also featured Seth Rollins suffering an apparent knee injury.

During his match against LA Knight, Rollins attempted a springboard moonsault to Knight who dodged out of the way. This led to Rollins landing hard on his feet to cancel resulting in him injuring it in the process. Rollins then clutched his knee and sat down in the corner leading to a WWE doctor getting into the ring to check on Rollins. After some medical attention, Rollins stated that he was okay to finish the match, which quickly ended after Knight hit a BFT in a very likely audible called on the spot.

Following the match, Rollins received additional medical treatment and was helped to the back while the show went to a commercial break.
