Friday’s WWE SmackDown drew 1,166,000 viewers on USA Network, down from the prior week’s 1,450,000 viewers. That week’s show was notable for being a taped and not a live show and SmackDown returning as a weekly two-hour show.
It drew a 0.32 rating in the 18-49 demographic, down from the prior week’s 0.41 rating.
In regards to notable sports competition, the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup game of Palmeiras vs. Chelsea drew 154,000 viewers on TUDN and the MLB games of Kansas City vs. Arizona and San Francisco vs. Athletics drew 386,000 viewers on MLB Network. The Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular drew 3,603,000 viewers on NBC.
Last year’s SmackDown on July 5, 2024 drew 2,256,000 viewers and a 0.66 rating on FOX. The July 7, 2023 episode drew 2,561,000 viewers on FOX.
