Zelina Vega & Giulia Announced for Women’s Battle Royal Match at WWE Evolution 2

Tuesday’s WWE NXT show at the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Zelina Vega and Giulia being among the main roster talent who made a surprise appearance on the show.

During the main event segment featuring NXT General Manager Ava announcing the official competitors from NXT for the Women’s Battle Royal match, Vega and Giulia were among those who came out at ringside confirming them as official competitors in the match.

History will be made and legends will be born.

Bray Wyatt Storyline Reportedly Being Added to WWE 2K25

Fightful Select reported that one source spoken to within 2K Games stated that a Wyatts storyline for the WWE 2K25 video game is currently scheduled to be announced imminently and will be released soon.

This same source reportedly stated that there were Wyatt-related items found in WWE 2K25’s game files recently that got some attention on Twitter and not everything in the game files discovered is indicative of it making it into the game for the new storyline addition.

One source spoken to reportedly stated that this upcoming Wyatts storyline addition is the first 2K storylines that they think will get people emotional. This same source reportedly stated that there is a lot of unused Bray Wyatt content that will be featuring including a lot of full videos of Uncle Howdy and Bo Dallas that will help paint a very deep story.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported that his sources stated that WWE Hall of Famers Alundra Blayze (Madusa) and Jazz are currently scheduled to be at WWE’s Evolution event on July 13th in Atlanta, Georgia.

PWInsider’s Mike Johnson also reported that his sources stated that Mike Santana is currently scheduled to make appearances on at least two WWE NXT shows, which one was the Tuesday, July 8th show. Those spoken to reportedly stated that Santana has received positive reviews from WWE and NXT official over his work on NXT shows and there might be interest in signing Santana once his contract with TNA Wrestling expires at the end of 2025.

Besides Mike Santana, PWInsider’s Mike Johnson reported in a separate report that current TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich is currently scheduled to make an appearance at WWE’s NXT Great American Bash 2025 event on July 12th in Atlanta, Georgia. Slamovich reportedly is currently expected to make several appearances on NXT shows for the lead-up to TNA’s Slammiversary 2025 event later this month.

WWE’s WWE ID account on Twitter recently announced that the inaugural Men’s and Women’s WWE ID Champions will be crowned at Game Changer Wrestling’s WWE ID Showcase event on August 1st in Rutherford, New Jersey.

This past Monday’s WWE RAW show featured Sami Zayn being attacked by Karrion Kross and being taken out by Bron Breakker during their match. In a follow-up segment, Paul Heyman stated to Seth Rollins and Breakker that he was told that Zayn is currently out “indefinitely” due to the injuries he sustained during the show.

Deadline reported that FX recently green lit a pilot episode for a potential new television comedy series called Movers. It was reported that Becky Lynch is among the cast for this potential new series. It was also reported that should the series be picked up by FX, it is currently not known how it will affect Lynch’s wrestling career.

Mac Davis announced on Twitter that WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long’s son Antonie passed away over this past weekend.

The Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer reported that WWE officials original plans were for their Evolution 2 event to take place on July 5th. Meltzer reported that the reason why WWE officials pushed the date to July 13th instead was due to their attempt to ensure competition for AEW’s All In Texas event in case they moved it out of its July 12th date for July 13th instead.

WWE recently started a new Top 25 SummerSlam matches of all-time countdown. The #25 spot was the singles match of Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar from SummerSlam 2023. The #24 spot was the WWE United States Championship and WWE World Heavyweight Championship match of John Cena (US) vs. Seth Rollins (WWE World) from SummerSlam 2015. The #23 spot was the WWE Championship match of Bret “The Hitman” Hart vs. The Undertaker from SummerSlam 1997.

WWE also recently released two new videos to their WCW Vault channel. The first new video was the full March 10, 1997 episode of WCW Nitro. The second new video was a singles match of Ultimo Dragon vs. Psychosis from WCW The Great American Bash 1997.
