As noted before, Saturday’s AEW Collision show featured Ace Austin making his official debut in AEW. Following his match against Ricochet on the show, AEW CEO Tony Khan confirmed that Austin has been signed to an official contract with the company.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Austin’s contract with AEW is for multiple years in length.
In regards to Austin’s departure from TNA Wrestling this past May, it was reported that TNA officials had wanted to retain Austin but couldn’t come to terms on the finances.
In regards to Austin’s ABC tag team partner Chris Bey, it was reported that Bey’s contract with TNA would have expired by now had it not been for his serious neck injury in October of 2024. It was also reported that Bey’s current contract with TNA is approaching its end but he is still with the company and being paid under his deal.
