As noted before, WWE President Nick Khan gave a speech to AAA talent before the start of AAA’s Triplemania XXXIII earlier this month telling them that WWE is not there to take over the product and they are only there to assist them in being seen globally and to ultimately put more money into all of their pockets. AAA talents were hopeful that Khan’s words would be true but have issues with their contracts with WWE containing new restrictions not allowing them to take outside bookings in the United States going forward.
Fightful Select reported that their sources stated that Khan’s speech was met with some skepticism but was it was not viewed negatively for the general reaction from AAA talents.
Several talents spoken to reportedly stated that WWE had a clear stake in the company and its creative direction and this being in full view at Triplemania XXXIII. It was reported that none of those spoken to had any complaints about Khan’s speech nor the small changes already made by WWE to AAA.
