Dave Meltzer reported in a recent episode of the Wrestling Observer Radio that his sources stated that there has been “lots of talk” recently about Jericho potentially return to WWE once his contract with AEW expires.
Meltzer reported that those spoken to stated that there has been a lot of talks within WWE about Jericho and speculation that he could potentially return at next year’s Royal Rumble event. Meltzer also reported that nobody has officially said anything nor will anyone officially saying anything about Jericho’s situation.
Meltzer speculated that if all things were equal, a WWE return could be the right move for Jericho at this point in his career due to the negative crowd reactions he had been getting in AEW for some time.
Jericho has been working for AEW since 2019.
