As noted before, Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s contracts with WWE is currently set to expire this weekend.
A recent episode of the Two Man Power Trip of Wrestling podcast featured Kross as the guest. One of the topics discussed included Kross providing an update on the current status of his contract with WWE.
“I’m still under contract. I saw a bunch of stuff online — what is today, Thursday? — I don’t know where it’s coming from and I don’t care to speak to any of it, but, I mean, all I can tell you is the only way you’re going to get the real story is when you get it from me. That’s all I can tell you.
I can’t really speak to any of the legitimacy of anything that is being recently reported, but I’ll tell you right now, everyone’s going to know exactly what’s going on very soon. Like, they’re going to know.”
Dave Meltzer reported in this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter that his sources stated that Kross has yet to sign a new contract with WWE as of the publication of his report. Meltzer reported that the reason for Kross being booked for SummerSlam had nothing to do with his contract situation nor WWE wanting him to lose on his way out. Instead, WWE officials reportedly wanted to add another match to the card and picked Kross vs. Sami Zayn out of the options available.
