Sami Callihan Loses to Mike Santana & Retires from In-Ring Career
Friday’s TNA Emergence 2025 event at the Chesapeake Employers Insurance Arena in Baltimore, Maryland featured Mike Santana defeating Sami Callihan in a Baltimore Street Fight match.
This match was originally scheduled to be a regular singles match but Callihan issued a challenge to Santana to up the stakes in their match by making it a Baltimore Street Fight match, which Santana agreed.
This match also featured the stipulation of if Callihan lost, then he would take off his boots and place them in the middle of the ring and retire from his in-ring wrestling career.
Following the match, Santana gave a fist bump to Callihan and left the ring to give the spotlight to Callihan. An emotional Callihan proceeded to take off his boots and placed them in the middle of the ring and gave a bow. Callihan then left the ring leaving his boots behind.

Lei Ying Lee Re-Signs with TNA
Friday’s TNA Emergence 2025 event also featured the announcement of Lei Ying Lee had signed a new contract with TNA to remain in teh company for the foreseeable future.
Prior to the start of the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship Four-way match, The IIspiration and Lee & Xia Brookside came ot for their entrances. This was followed by TNA official Tommy Dreamer coming out and gave a speech praising Lee and stated that TNA had a new contract for her. This led to Lee giving a happy reaction to Dreamer’s words and signed the new contract to make it official.

Lee has been signed with TNA since November of 2024.
Joe Hendry Appearance Announced for Next Week’s WWE NXT Show
Friday’s TNA Emergence 2025 event also featured one new segment announced for next week’s WWE NXT show on August 19th at Rhe Met Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
This new segment announced was Joe Hendry making an appearance on the show.
